My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

No one has the right to tell another human being that they should be satisfied with less in life and should be doing much better with what crumbs the white ruling class in America threw at them.

It doesn't matter how many generations pass, if you don't have the capital to build up or can't acquire it. It was forbidden for blacks to own property and written into the deeds that the white property owners could not sell to black people. My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

No one has the right to tell another human being that they should be satisfied with less in life and should be doing much better with what crumbs the white ruling class in America threw at them.

It doesn't matter how many generations pass, if you don't have the capital to build up or can't acquire it. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

The 60s, 1964 to be exact is the year the United States of America ceased being a lawfully segregated nation at least on paper. American Apartheid ended with the passage of one of the most significant pieces of legislation in the country's history.

So this is what it has all come to with black's like you, otherwise you are doing everything you can to make white's regret ever sacrificing their priveledge, their wealth, their education, their standards, and worse their own family members in order to help people like you or your ancestors to be free and equal (a long work in progress it has been, but a productive one drawing great results and rewards), by helping, and then waiting on you all to get caught up in life, and in this country.

I bet you the farm that we have thousands of black's that have taken their opportunity, and they have seized upon those wonderful opportunities to shine like a new penny made of gold in America. They are proud, victimless, and see themselves as great allies to the American dream, otherwise that recognizes a colorless society under God with liberty and justice for all. Yes there are still struggles for all races, and there are bad players in all races, but most are good and not bad.

From his 20's up until his very last day of life, John Lewis fought white racism. I know some people tried telling Lewis how he should stop and how he was the racist. How he was obsessed with an issue that didn't apply now. That he hated white people and that he didn't speak for black people. Lewis was born during the overt era of American apartheid. He was 24 before he could vote. He saw the worst and up until his transition he declared not that everything was great, or how he was happy therefore the problem doesn't exist. The man served 33 years in congress, but his focus on justice would be considered by some to be the ranting of an unhappy man.

John Lewis will go down in history as one of the greatest Americans of all time. His sacrifice made it so blacks can vote and can talk about how we have succeeded in business. By every measure this was a successful man. But up to his last breath, Lewis told us that regardless of the improvements we have seen, that there is still work to do. So if Lewis, a man who saw the harsh reality of the past can say that, black sell outs have NOTHING to say. Lewis was a legendary freedom fighter. A warrior for justice every second he breathed. He set the example and if we do not follow this example, we have failed.

When a man like the great John Lewis, who saw the worst of segregation, a man who got his skull busted so that I am able to do the things I can today, said that we have come a long way but we still have a long way to go, that's the undisputed truth no one can deny.

Racism is where the system is corrupt, like in the U.S. where the government shits on its citizens so that the population has to scrounge to make a living and they blame their failures on race. It's called "divide and rule" and if you've been to school you may have heard of it.

I don't need to read what you say to understand anything. I live here and am black. I know exactly what the race issue is. I also know that MLK was or ever has been the only black leader to inform us about race. W.E.B Dubois, Marcus Garvey, Frederick Douglass, Isabella Wagenen, Mary MacCleod Bethune, Malcolm X, Stokely Carmicheal, Whitney Young, Fannie Lou Hamer and a host of others have informed us as black people on the issue of race.
