Cops have to meet the same standards as anyone else, they must have a reasonable fear of death or great bodily injury based on a totality of the circumstances before they are legally justified in using lethal force.
Now cops often do get the benefit of the doubt a lot more often than private citizens do, but I don't know any realistic way to change that dynamic.

My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

No one has the right to tell another human being that they should be satisfied with less in life and should be doing much better with what crumbs the white ruling class in America threw at them.

It doesn't matter how many generations pass, if you don't have the capital to build up or can't acquire it. It was forbidden for blacks to own property and written into the deeds that the white property owners could not sell to black people. Real estate is one of the best ways to generate wealth but how were we supposed to do that when white society wouldn't allow it?

And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

Cops have to meet the same standards as anyone else, they must have a reasonable fear of death or great bodily injury based on a totality of the circumstances before they are legally justified in using lethal force.
Now cops often do get the benefit of the doubt a lot more often than private citizens do, but I don't know any realistic way to change that dynamic.

My grandfather was a Tuskegee Airman. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

No one has the right to tell another human being that they should be satisfied with less in life and should be doing much better with what crumbs the white ruling class in America threw at them.

It doesn't matter how many generations pass, if you don't have the capital to build up or can't acquire it. He along with the rest of the Airmen had all of the requisite skills required to leave the military and pursue a successful and lucrative career as commercial airlines pilots had he lived, however it was almost 20 years between the end of WWII and the time that the airlines finally allowed an African American pilot to fly for them. And don't think it was a cakewalk just because they finally got their foot in the door mid 1960s.

I know what the US has done. I know what we are talking about. And since race is the issue that has caused the problem whereby whites have believed blacks are such criminals even as they have a 400 year worldwide documented record of violence and crime, that violence and crime whites ignore in themselves to justify the police killings of black which led to the shootings being discussed must be part of the conversation.

Cops have to meet the same standards as anyone else, they must have a reasonable fear of death or great bodily injury based on a totality of the circumstances before they are legally justified in using lethal force.
Now cops often do get the benefit of the doubt a lot more often than private citizens do, but I don't know any realistic way to change that dynamic.

The 60s, 1964 to be exact is the year the United States of America ceased being a lawfully segregated nation at least on paper. American Apartheid ended with the passage of one of the most significant pieces of legislation in the country's history.

That's incorrect. 1 black president means nothing when there have been 44 white ones. If 50 percent of the blacks in your town are on welfare that means the businesses in your town aren't hiring blacks or not paying blacks decent wages. Since I am not asking for a white free society, reverse racism does not exist and laws were made to stop the abuses that were/are continuing to this very second, your post is a load of the usual white racist horseshit. Madame CJ Walker became a millionaire during Jim Crow and she still fought against it. Whites like you were making the same ignorant comments then you make now.

From his 20's up until his very last day of life, John Lewis fought white racism. I know some people tried telling Lewis how he should stop and how he was the racist. How he was obsessed with an issue that didn't apply now. That he hated white people and that he didn't speak for black people. Lewis was born during the overt era of American apartheid. He was 24 before he could vote. He saw the worst and up until his transition he declared not that everything was great, or how he was happy therefore the problem doesn't exist. The man served 33 years in congress, but his focus on justice would be considered by some to be the ranting of an unhappy man.

John Lewis will go down in history as one of the greatest Americans of all time. His sacrifice made it so blacks can vote and can talk about how we have succeeded in business. By every measure this was a successful man. But up to his last breath, Lewis told us that regardless of the improvements we have seen, that there is still work to do. So if Lewis, a man who saw the harsh reality of the past can say that, black sell outs have NOTHING to say. Lewis was a legendary freedom fighter. A warrior for justice every second he breathed. He set the example and if we do not follow this example, we have failed.

When a man like the great John Lewis, who saw the worst of segregation, a man who got his skull busted so that I am able to do the things I can today, said that we have come a long way but we still have a long way to go, that's the undisputed truth no one can deny.

I don't know what country you live in but white racism is not just limited to America.
Racism is where the system is corrupt, like in the U.S. where the government shits on its citizens so that the population has to scrounge to make a living and they blame their failures on race. It's called "divide and rule" and if you've been to school you may have heard of it.

“Divide and rule” is not a concept exclusive to geography and if you do not understand that dividing the classes and/or the races (and fostering discontent between the two in order to keep focus off of the government’s shenanigans/corruption) is not “dividing and ruling” then it is you who is lost. But that doesn't surprise me because your ignorance of the fact is proof of the successes of "divide and rule". That is why is it used to a highly prosperous degree by the Military-Industrial Complex. You're screwed.

And since race is the issue that has caused the problem whereby whites have believed blacks are such criminals even as they have a 400 year worldwide documented record of violence and crime, that violence and crime whites ignore in themselves to justify the police killings of black which led to the shootings being discussed must be part of the conversation.

A PERSONAL NOTE: Martin Luther King understood this very well and he dedicated his life to revealing it to his fellow citizens. His work was enormously effective but he was murdered before the job was completed and so most of his achievements have been reversed and the country is slipping back into the pit of racial anarchy.

I don't need to read what you say to understand anything. I live here and am black. I know exactly what the race issue is. I also know that MLK was or ever has been the only black leader to inform us about race. W.E.B Dubois, Marcus Garvey, Frederick Douglass, Isabella Wagenen, Mary MacCleod Bethune, Malcolm X, Stokely Carmicheal, Whitney Young, Fannie Lou Hamer and a host of others have informed us as black people on the issue of race.
