"Dr. Shiva discovered that Twitter built a special portal offered to certain governmental entities so that government officials can flag and delete content they dislike for any reason, as part of what they call their “Twitter Partner Status.”

Oh Oh, looks like Twitter got caught giving government officials "Twitter Partner Status."

"Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, the man who invented email, ran for US Senate in Massachusetts as a Republican and made allegations of voter fraud on Twitter. These tweets were then deleted by the far-left tech giant. Later it was discovered that they were deleted at the direction of government employees of the Massachusetts Secretary of State’s office."

Will this spell the end of Twitter's CDA 230 protection? If true it certainly should be.

It's why Twitter won't expand their foothold Internationally. Their activities against Trump, like many activities across a broad spectrum; have exposed them and their potential danger to other nations.

As such, what ever countries Twitter are in now, it won't increase. Their freedom to operate in these countries will also only be decreased, or outright eliminated.

This will have a dire impact on Americas ability to influence other populations.

As if banning the president of the United States during an election year wasn't criminal in itself.

Ah the pity party revision of History? Poor Trumpy. Everybody hates him. Except, he was banned in 2021. Over two months after he lost the 2020 election, for fraudulently claiming the election was rigged.

Either way, nothing criminal about getting banned for TOS violations.

Unlikely.

He was heavily censored before the election, so I stand corrected on a technicality.

they cannot give one gov agency the ability to block/ban/delete the others you jackwipe.

this has nothing to do with trump and everything to do with collusion.

Yeah they started flagging his BS CT's. Most of his followers probably took the flag as a sign the latest CT was really true too.

ON TUESDAY, IN this most normal year of 2020, President Donald Trump woke up, hopped on Twitter, and fired off a few tweets amplifying a conspiracy theory that a cable TV host he dislikes had murdered someone decades ago. Later that day, for the first time, Twitter made the momentous decision to flag Trump for tweeting false information. Amazingly, it was in response to a completely different set of tweets.

What prompted Twitter to finally break the seal was a two-tweet tirade about the supposed dangers of expanding vote-by-mail during the coronavirus pandemic:

and look how many states have stopped that.

look how many countries won't allow that.

and look at amazon saying YES BY MAIL (unless you're voting to unionize against us then only in person cause by mail isn't secure)

no one is buying this turd anymore.

The story I heard was there was special place where they could flag items for the Tweety staff to review for possible violations. But that was months ago. I was simply responding to misinformation I saw that if true, would have had much more serious consequence for the election and this discussion. Don't you think it would have been much more explosive, or at least entertaining, if Tweeter had banned him before the election?

Leo. Hahaha. Fcuk U.

Yet Twitter allows Democrats to post lie after lie. Sorry they can’t have it both ways.

The First Amendment permits Twitter the right to censor as they please. However, the First Amendment guarantees the American people the right to boycott Twitter, and I believe we should exercise that right.

It doesn't give the government the right to silence free speech by wiping it from the public square, or allow Twitter to wear the cloak of government authority by giving the gov't special access that enables it to do so.

If they are giving this to the government to give them the right to censor, it may create an issue.
