Well, it seems that Trump can't stop pissing off Twitter. Now? He tried to put a campaign video up about George Floyd (yeah, you heard that right), but apparently, he can't do that because someone else already has the rights to George Floyd's name and likeness, so Twitter blocked his campaign video due to copyright infringement. According to the article, Facebook has also taken down the video for the same reason.

Good on Twitter for doing this. Not only is it a violation of their TOS for people to post copyrighted material, but I also think it's in pretty poor taste to use George Floyd as a campaign tool, especially in light of how he moved out the protesters from that park so he could have his photo op.

Twitter has blocked a Trump campaign video tribute to George Floyd over a copyright claim, in a move that adds to tensions between the social media platform and the U.S. president, one of its most widely followed users.

The company put a label on a video posted by the @TeamTrump account that said, “This media has been disabled in response to a claim by the copyright owner.” The video was still up on President Donald Trump’s YouTube channel and includes pictures of Floyd, whose death sparked widespread protests, at the start.

“Per our copyright policy, we respond to valid copyright complaints sent to us by a copyright owner or their authorized representatives,” Twitter said in a statement. It did not say who made the complaint.

The Burbank, California lawyer who requested the takedown, Sam Koolaq, declined to identify his client or the copyright violation in the video. He said in an email that he also submitted takedown notices to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

If the President decided not to use twitter, that company would go bankrupt as all the followers of his, Demoncrap and Republican would go find where he will chat next. Dont doubt me, as the President has hinted at that....

There's an old saying that. Twitter would do well to remember. It goes "fuck with the bull and you might get the horn".

So very good to see our great President still getting under the skin of democrat fairies everywhere. I suppose Twitter wielded their all hallowed fact-checking wand in the process of blocking the President's communique? Twitter? Fact checking? Knee slapped.

Twitter is doomed, now it has to do exactly the same, exactly, to everyone else..... I will be a happy camper if Dorcey happens to get slammed into the side of a mountain at 400 knots whilst tooling about in one of his private jets....

George Floyd now falls under the category of a "public person" so his name CAN be used with referring to events that have happened and were reported on in the media. Otherwise, every media outlet will be barred from using his name.

As for that statement on Trump moving people out of the part, that is a stupid interpretation and it wasn't for a photo op any more than Biden's going to the NAACP is a photo op.

You people are losing your fucking minds.

The more they block Trump the angrier his voters are getting.....and angry voters show up.....

This about copyrighted photos. And it's not up to Twitter. If the copyright holder objects, Twitter is obligated to take the post down. That's the law. I'm sure our "law and order" president understands this.

Georges death is nothing BUT a political tool, you fucking idiot.

I'm sure that they can use a 'public domain' image and just retweet it.

They could. But I'd prefer Trump teach Twitter a lesson, and refuse to patronize them with his posts.

Censorship of any American is against the Bill of Rights. According to the Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat Left and their acolytes say that White Americans are considered racists and are not allowed a voice, so it's okay to censor them including our duly elected president.
The same people are educating our children to despise their parents. These same children go on the Social Media nets claiming they hate their parents because they are not aligned with what their teachers tell them.

Ass backwards wrong. News outlets can use his name and image because they are news outlets. I see we got us another Trump U graduate, here.

Private businesses can do as they choose and refuse service to people if they violate their rules. You conservatives used to be all about letting business owners run their own business, what happened?

And no, stopping someone from using material that is copyrighted by another person isn't censorship, it's following the law.

Wrong.

The doctrine of free speech applies only to government, not private entities such as social media platforms.

And as private entities, social media platforms are at liberty to edit content as they see fit, and excluding content if they see fit.

Of course, you and most others on the right couldn’t care less about free speech – you’re just angry because Trump’s idiotic ad got yanked.
