TULIP (God calls some to atheism)

Study ancient Egyptian religions. The ram was associated with heroic figures and powerful gods. Egyptians did not sacrifice sheet, they sacrificed goats as sacrificing sheep was an abomination to them. Exodus mentions that at one point Moses didn't allow the Jews to sacrifice lambs to God because the Egyptian would take great offense of such an offering being made on their land to a God they considered foreign.

Brushing the blood of sacrificial lambs on their lintels was a declaration the Egyptians would immediately understand, and their reaction would be fury over the insult to their God, Khnum. It not only broadcast that the One God of Israel was believed to be the most powerful, but also Jewish defiance of Egypt.

I understand why atheists have no belief in God or Gods (however they wish to perceive God). My wish is that they have respect for what is sacred to others, or failing in that, at the very least look into a more secular understanding of why one people used the blood of a lamb, and why this may have caused the other nation to take off in hot pursuit of them.
