Trumps long awaited Healthcare Plan

After promising something better and cheaper than Obamacare, Trump finally revealed what he considers a “plan”
It is not a plan at all, but a series of empty promises that are not funded or backed by legislation.

Trump’s announcements Thursday failed to match his pledge of a “full and complete” health care plan. They also failed to make good on senior officials’ claims, made on the press call just ahead of Trump’s speech Thursday, that the President would present an “historic” proposal.
Well, at least it has slightly more substance than his climate change proposal.

"It'll get cooler, just watch."
Climate does change. And?
I hope for your sake you don't live on low ground or in hurricaine territory.
Like Boston? What the hell are you talking about?
Lol, you can't really be that stupid. I don't believe it.

Watered down, delayed, pretend, Medicare For All, shockingly similar to Obamacare, only wearing new clothes most likely.

{said "Harris campaign spokesman Ian Sams"}

Medicare for all is not Obamacare

It will make Republicans wish they had saved Obamacare

Sure there is

Article 1, Section 1
No mention of healthcare there:
All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.
"Herein granted" isn't just filler.
Try smarter.

Establishes the powers of Congress
Namely, they can do what We the People need through legislative power

I thought this was his healthcare plan....

Pray to God you don't get sick.

And the Republicans will have a good case to have the SCOTUS overturn it, since it would actually infringe on the ability of companies to even offer health insurance (by mandating that everyone would have to be on the "government plan")

What makes you think employers want to be in the healthcare business? Obamacare forced large employers to provide health insurance. Single payer will relieve them of the burden
That’s their differentiator when luring employees. I believe it should be like auto insurance and not tied to ones employer.
The concept that people must stay with an employer because they can’t afford to lose their insurance is offensive.

You should have insurance that you can carry throughout your life......just like UK
No shit. I completely agree. So Trump implemented that too? LOL
Trump has done nothing
That is true. We ll see what happens in the 2nd term

Oh I know what you meant. But you’re a moron if you believe we are causing tornadoes because we use too much gas. Snowflake.

Truth is we can no longer afford not to have single payer. But Biden will never get us there.

If Biden has a Democratic led Congress, he can get it done.

Time to stop nickel and diming healthcare and get a solid program in place that Republicans can’t destroy
It doesn’t make any difference how solid the program is, it doesn't make any difference what the people want, Republicans will get the courts to destroy it.

No question the courts will attack whatever plan Dems come up with. But if Dems keep Congress, they can keep passing laws and make the courts keep up.
The courts won’t keep up – that’s the plan; challenges to Democratic legislation will drag on for years, the legislations’ provisions enjoined and unenforced, finally making their way to the Supreme Court, where a five-justice majority of partisan, conservative ideologues will rule to invalidate the laws based not on the merits of the laws but because those laws are the produce of a Democratic Congress signed into law by a Democratic president – just was we’ve seen with the ACA.

Auto insurance is mandated by the same authority that issues drivers' licenses and should be part of that authority. Healthcare is a similar common welfare need and should be taken care of collectively. Such care would be better and cheaper (as, for example, it is in France) than it is presently in the U.S.
…and in the UK and in Germany – neither of which are ‘socialist’ countries, both of which are free market capitalist countries, where their healthcare programs in no manner act as a ‘disincentive’ to economic growth, advancement, or business development.

IMHO, Obamacare is going nowhere in the near term. Maybe some minor tweaks here and there, but I'm not seeing a major overhaul in the works and they've had nearly 4 years to work on it, which indicates to me they have no real intention of doing much, if anything, with it.

Unless the Supreme Court strikes it down
Then, Democrats will have no option other than Medicare for All

I don't see that happening. The Supreme Court already ruled on it, so that is the existing precedent. That is one helluva hill.

We've got other things to worry about. This one is, IMHO, a total scare campaign, right up there with Trump is going to kill grannies social security. In this case the dems are seeding this in advance of the new justice to use the conservative majority of the bench as the scare tactic this time around, pointing at healthcare and Roe V Wade to declare total armageddon if conservatives are not driven out at the ballot box. We see this stuff every election cycle, so should recognize it for what it is as this point. This time there is this added wrinkle of using the court as the boogeyman, but it is the same old, same old.
I’d like to agree with you.

But Justice Roberts saved Obamacare 5-4 the last go around.

At 6-3, the Trump Court will find grounds to abolish it and open the way for Medicare for All
At which point the Trump Court will contrive grounds to invalidate Medicare for All.

For at least the next 30 years the Trump Court will keep all manner of necessary, proper, and warranted legislation from being enacted, including healthcare reform – contrary to the will of the American people, and to the detriment of the American people.

He will have no option once SCOTUS abolishes Obamacare.

Biden prefers to enhance Obamacare, but if he has no option.....
Point AGAIN is, he could just get behind it now (like the majority of voters and vast majority of Democrats already have) and WIN THIS ELECTION hands down. That's how much he, Obama, Hillary, and the DNC, right along with the Republicans, hate Medicare For All. We will have to force it down both their throats. Keep in mind that Obamacare is just glorified Romneycare, that it sucks royally, and always will.. BY DESIGN!

One Party to rule them all, One Party to find them, One Party to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them, In the Land of DC where the Shadows Lie.
Sorry to be such a broken record, but…

It doesn’t make any difference what Biden does, it doesn’t make any difference who wins the election, it doesn’t make any difference that Democrats realize an overwhelming majority in both Houses of Congress, and it doesn’t make any difference what the majority of the American people want – MFA will be challenged by conservatives in the courts, ultimately to be invalidated by a five-justice majority of partisan, conservative ideologues.

And you base that on literally nothing, of course, as there is no basis for such a completely ridiculous statement.

The court is now 'contriving grounds'. In your hyperbolic psychotic state they will all probably grow huge handlebar mustaches to look the part and tie women and puppies to train tracks just to get outside every once in a while.

Good grief.

It's not that far fetched. Then again, it could be the straw that finally motivates the people to grab their pitchforks and get busy..

So you are even blaming him for the court appeals that restricted him every step of the way and did so during the pandemic, in which case Biden would be refering to the courts as "cruel" to do such a thing and You "cruel" to resist the health care plan.

You bet your ass I am blaming Trump

Trying to abolish Obamacare in the midst of the worst pandemic in history is cruel and callous

No forcing people to pay 65% of their income for Obama care was cruel, and having an Obama glitchy web site built that can descrinibate against the amount you pay based on religion race and political affiliation is a violation of civil liberties and descrimination laws.
Regarding your parroted "during a pandemic" catch phrase routine, it was canned WAY before the pandemic by majority agreement of
"good riddance", and the gov't is making almost everything related to the virus free including the vaccine shots to come.-oops
By the way this ruins your mask argument, because if they are wearing their masks and following guidelines why the worry or complaint?
-oops again, a 2 for 1 zinger!
