Trump was so so right. Putin is smart. Our leaders are dumb as hell.........LOLOL

Over the years the main narrative of Russian propaganda has been that Ukraine is too corrupt, too ineffective, too poor for American or European taxpayers to waste their money on.

Well their disasterous invasion proved all that wrong.

Ukranians were dedicated enough to fight and able enough to push back and embarrass Russians.

In 4 months, Putin has lost a significant part of his military, the confidence of his people and his government and has damaged the credibility and stability of Russia for who knows how long. He doesn't even have an exit strategy for his special operation. The war is literally a historic disaster. Yes, Putin is "smart."

Ruble is at a 5 year high, the West is paying top dollar for Putin oil. The Russian economy is soaring.

You act like Russia has free elections and Putin will be voted out. Learn some history.

Why?

In 4 months Putin is selling his oil to China and everyone else for record amounts................lolololol

The ruble is higher now than 4 months ago I believe.......chuckle chuckle

Boy did he plan this better than he thought???????????

We spent billions defending Ukraine and weakened our resolve

Pooty Pooty is getting so wealthy and expanding territory, while laughing at the USA.......LOLOLOL

Inflation Dufus.
Versus 2.5% in Japan
You were replying to a post about GDP growth in Russia, not inflation in Japan you fucking moron.

Russian inflation projected for the year is more than double of USA's according to Russian Central Bank itself.

6-8% US compared to 15-17% for Russia

I have a hard time believing the "5 year high" of the RUB is a real valuation. The only place rubles can be traded is the Moscow Currency Exchange, and the RUB is whatever the central bank says it is. They say it's pegged to gold, but you can't convert it to gold (or any other foreign currency), so what does that really mean? If the value is not set by currency markets, it's just an arbitrary number.

It just seems like a way to gouge European countries on the price of energy by making them exchange euros or dollars for rubles at an inflated rate.

Russians are prohibited from moving foreign currency abroad and have strict limits on how much they can withdraw at home. The Central Bank has to set limits on capital outflow to offset the loss of inflow. Russian companies abroad have to convert 80% of their revenues to rubles- they can't hold it in foreign currency.

Russia's imports are down something like 89%, which looks good for GDP but it's terrible for productivity. A new Lada "classic" has no airbags, no ABS braking, no traction control, no seatbelt tensioners, and no computerized engine management system (meaning it meets circa-1990 emission standards).

Half their commercial airline fleet is grounded, they can't fly Boeings or Airbuses out of the country because they will be seized by the leasing companies that really own them. They are looking to drag out old Ilyushins for passenger service. The Sukhoi SuperJet production is halted.

Printers can't get ink and supplies, so the labels on packaging are simple text, no graphics or colors. They can still make paper, but they can't bleach it, so white paper is not available. The re-branded McDonalds wrappers and boxes are plain blank paper. That's not a gigantic inconvenience, but it's not good for branding and it's an indicator of how the sanctions reach to all areas of the Russian economy in some way or another.

One of their big auto execs said that in ten years, Russians will still be driving Ladas while Westerners will be riding around in driverless cars...

WASHINGTON, June 28 - RIA Novosti. The United States imposed sanctions against the 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade from the Air Force and the 76th Airborne Assault Division and the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment based in the Pskov region (Russia), the US Treasury Department reports.
According to a document published by the department, the United States is imposing sanctions against the 64th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade based in the Eastern Military District, and the Pskov 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division and the 234th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment.
I do not know how to comment on this shit...

How can NYETO expand when it is collapsing because of Putin's strategy?
NATO collapsing?

Are you on drugs son? NATO hasn't been this united in decades and even previously nuetral countries like Sweeden and Finland are trying to join up.

If Putin's goal was to halt expansion of NATO then it's tough to imagine how could've fucked up worse.
