right now they the media are riding as high as i've seen since he declared. there is a lot going on, and he made some gaffs in the last few days.
i heard him say yesterday he wasn't treated fairly by the GOP, i agree, the press other than fox, haven't either. the very definitions and parameters of the mainstream media have really changed since obama came along, more on that later.
Trump's not a politician, or wasn't, that's both his problem and his strength. but he says what's on his mind. i like that. i mentioned that in a different thread, that i am willing to take the bad with the good, because all the others are so much worse.
so other than we voters who decided early and have remained loyal since, he's got nobody. and not just got nobody, everyone else is really trying hard to actively try to destroy him. it's a blood sport to trip him up. a real piling on.
here's the point of my thread. if he can handle all of this, that's the person i want, in addition to the multitude of plus reasons i have ascribed here. it is a fact that he is not treated the same way, this latest shark feeding frenzy is proof to me. think back to the media obama enjoyed, the media was his rainbow, the white house his pot of gold. i believe that the Trump media attention and scrutiny is directly opposite to that of the messiah in obama. it's two completely sets of treatment.
even as a supporter i cringe sometimes at what he says, but so far nothing has dissuaded my intention to voting for him here in vermont. i think he's the right person for the right time. it's a big subject.
every politician gaffs, that's a fact. these folks spend a lot of time on the road and get tired. i like that he gives access to the press, i'm not too worried about some casual conversations. even this abortion thing is interesting because he addresses the legality of abortion.
nancy pelosi gave the impression she was ok with jailtime for not buying obamacare. hillary fabracates sniper fire, bernie is a socialist who glosses things over and believes in global warming. ted cruz seems phony to me. kasich has no charisma, an American president needs charisma.
i wish we had a better organised third party. this is the most interesting time in politics i've ever seen.
even if Trump doesn't get the nomination, and i think he will, he will have made an indelible mark with eviscerating the press, and telling it like it is. he has changed the tempo and face of American politics. he's a good manager and a good person, i like his family. he's created jobs, not just danced around it. in short, he's not a poser, and i'm willing to give that a try.
