He's just being Trump again. He's got the best job in the world, one where he's the boss and doesn't have to deal with pesky fellow party members, legislatures, or other b.s. of political life. And he knows it better than anyone else.

He likes the spotlight though and every now and then toys with folks so it shines brightly upon him until something else peaks his interest.
