We will be in a depression if Trump doesn't restart the economy soon. Some sort of Executive Order needs to be issued to keep the Dem governors in line.

If there is anything that I (as a Trump voter) is questioning right now is why in the hell is Trump listening to these medical experts? Their predictions are wrong their models are based on unreliable and unobtainable data, and they are bureaucrats that are receiving a paycheck from my tax dollars while they promote closing down the economic engine of this country. Clearly, so far this Covid is not performing up to their expectations. Their predictions of millions dying hasn't emerged. In fact we see even NY having a sharp decline. Give THEM help. Stop trying to spread government largesse around to folks who could actually make this economy hum again if we just let them go back to work!!

Comparing to these COVID-19 models, global warming looks more plausible.

He did not close down the individual states so he is not being blamed for ordering the states to close down. He is blamed for prolonging conditions for the need for closure because of his incompetent handling of the crisis.

Why should he close individual states? He issued guidelines, and it's up to Governors, should they chose, to impose them. Some Governors did it, some did not.

The Republican governor of my own deep red state is not willing to sacrifice the people of our state at the alter of trump's economic wishes. The Mayor and County Mayor where I live extended the stay at home order, this very afternoon for another week. The state had 7 new deaths since yesterday, bringing the total to 79 dead in a little over a month. We're pretty conservative down here. We're just not used to 79 people dropping dead in the state in a little over a month from a disease running rampant. The vast majority of those that have come down with it are between 20 and 50. This isn't anything to fk around with, just to make a buck for the GDP.

Any info about how 79 deaths from COVID-19 plus all deaths from everything else compares to previous year(s) counts?

The lockdowns are working you dope. Discontinuing them will increase the number of sick. It cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for a person on a ventilator in ICU. So, ya genius, send more folks into hospitals.

People going to grocery store, postal and Amazon deliveries, etc are not lockdowns, and spread is still possible. What we have is worst possible combination, economy is stalled to prevent spreading, while grocery shopping and other activities are continuing spread.

Ending stay-at home orders, isolating sick, while letting people working in combo with social distancing and increased hygiene, cannot harm us more. If you need to wear gloves and mask, so be it, but shutting economy will hurt us more than virus itself.

In a little over a month and rising every day? Suspect you wold have to go back to 1918 Spanish flue. Our larger centers of population and transportation are far different now than then. I do not know, but I doubt it spread across the rural farmland from the population centers in less than a month. The deep state will see to it that no matter how much you suffer, if it don't damage Trump or keep him in check, then it must go on (the negative reporting). I saw this, and thought wow.... Who knows what to do, but fear isn't the answer either. I felt for these two, but sadly they were actually duped by the ladies father who sounded like he was very stubborn about telling them the truth after he got it. He ultimately paid for it with his life, and that was a very sad thing for that family.

If have a feeling hit you, then get help immediately. I had the flu back in December in which was very odd for me, but I did seek medical attention quickly. Pride must be set aside, and humbleness must take precedence in a situation like this one.
