San Antonio Spurs defeated the
New York Knicks in Game 3 of the NBA finals to claw their way back into the series, cutting the Knicks’ lead to 2-1. Despite the disappointing outcome for the New York faithful, it was a raucous environment.
Unfortunately for the rowdy fans, their attendance experience was impacted in a big way by the decision of United States President Donald Trump, a Knicks fan himself, to attend the game and watch from a suite. Trump’s presence led to intense security measures needing to be taken by fans and players alike, something Spurs guard
De’Aaron Fox said was “inconvenient.”
Shockingly, cameras during the game appeared to catch Trump falling asleep in his seat in the suite.
Fans on social media were incensed by the video.
“So he ruined the night for all of those people just to take another nap?” one fan posted on X.
