Trump Properties' Share Of Foot Traffic Declined Up To 27% Since Start Of Presidential Campaign
Donald Trump talks enthusiastically about his career as a real estate developer. Supporters point to gleaming Trump-branded buildings as proof that the Republican Presidential nominee has the expertise to cure the nation’s ills. But how has his controversial candidacy affected visitor numbers to Trump buildings?
Negatively, according to Foursquare. The company records both the explicit check-ins and the implicit visits of the 50 million people who use Foursquare and Swarm apps.
They tracked foot traffic to Trump-branded hotels, casinos and golf courses since Trump announced his candidacy in June 2015. Foursquare found that Trump properties’ share of foot traffic has declined since he entered the race, especially in blue states, and especially among women in those states.....
