“It’s appalling that this beautiful post office used to be a place of public domain and is now in the hands of Donald Trump and the one percent,” Benjamin said. “In a city full of immigrants, $700 a night for a room?”

The people who worked on it will not be able to afford a room, but hopefully he will be able to hire locals as maids to the wealthy elites.
He caters to the wealthy, make no mistake, as its the wealthy who are his bread and butter. This is not the man we want for President of the US, one who caters to the elites.

TRUMPS doing good , iguess that he bought the post office with his money , refurbished it . My hope is that he may live in it until the 'white hut' is rebuilt , debugged and fumigated . Course Trump will be sure to preserve the history of the White House .

Trump filed suit later that month against Deutsche Bank in New York State Supreme Court in an effort to excuse a repayment of more than $330 million that had been due November 7, and to extend the construction loan for an unspecified period of time because of extenuating circumstances arising from the financial crisis of 2007–2010.[114] Trump cited a "force majeure" clause that allowed the borrower to delay completion of the project under a catch-all section covering "any other event or circumstance not within the reasonable control of the borrower".[112] Trump not only sought an extension, but sought damages of $3 billion from the bank for its use of predatory lending practices to undermine the project and damage his reputation, which he claimed "is associated worldwide with on-time, under-budget, first-class construction projects and first-class luxury hotel operations

Judge to Trump National: Pay contractor or face foreclosure

Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Jorge Cueto has ordered the Donald Trump-controlled company that owns the Trump National Doral Miami golf club to pay a paint supply company $34,863.92 by June 28 or face the forced sale in auction of the world-famous property.

Trump bought the property in 2012 for $150 million. But, according to records, Cueto has already filed the paperwork for a 9 a.m. foreclosure sale to the highest bidder June 28 at the main courthouse in downtown

Imagine a program that lets wealthy foreigners cut to the front of the U.S. immigration line by writing a big check.

In fact, there is such a program that puts about 10,000 wealthy investors on the path to U.S. citizenship each year. All they have to do is invest between $500,000 to $1 million each in a U.S. project.

Among the projects accepting this kind of funding is a skyscraper in Jersey City, New Jersey, that will bear the name Trump.

The building, which will be called Trump Bay Street, isn't being developed by Donald Trump. Instead, he has licensed the Trump name to two developers. One of them, Kushner Companies, is run by his son-in-law Jared Kushner, who is married to Ivanka Trump.

The Chinese investment in Trump Bay Street was first reported by Bloomberg.

On the campaign trail, Trump has been a vocal critic of both immigration and U.S. relations with China.

His partners in the Jersey City project are raising $50 million from 100 Chinese investors. The total cost is estimated at $195 million.

U.S. Immigration Funds, a private firm that actively solicits foreign investors interested in investment visas, confirmed the number of Chinese investors in the Jersey City project to CNNMoney.

He will probably tear it down and rebuild, mainly that is what he does. It will be the tallest building in the US with the name TRUMP on top for all the little trumpets to come.

-------------------------------- maybe , after all , the TRUMP owns it .

Not to sure he owns anything, he could be in debt up to his eyeballs. Need to see his tax returns, he is probably hiding how little he pays in taxes.

an old post office as grand as it may be is no real big deal except as a hotel is it, I don't know . Trump could tear it down after photographing it intensely , pick up a brick and save the brick , make a plaque of bronze or brass saying that the DC post office was torn down in 2030 to make way for sumthin way , way better Penny . ------------ just another thought Penny !!

glue or silicone seal the PLAQUE to the brick as representation of the old DC post office and save that for posterity to oooh and ahhh at Penny !!
