Thats pretty much the standard. If you have it post marked by election day, your ballot should be counted.

So here is the jist of what you said. While i was living in Virginia a woman called in to the local radio station because when she went in to vote that day, the elections official there told her that she had already voted and she cant vote again. Now she knew she didnt send any any ballots through the mail, or did early voting, so didnt know what to do.

If this should happen to you, you are to immediately contact the local police and a lawyer and demand that the ballot was cast in your name, be brought forth so you could verify that it is your signature and if it isnt sue the state for allowing fraud during the elections. Start bringing in the progs who want to cheat the system and have their asses in jail for 5 to 10 years.

There seems to be a hard deadline for the states to submit their electors. It's the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. This year that day is November 3rd. Their votes must be finalized by December 14th and certified by the Senate on January 6th. I can see the SCOTUS mandating that all votes not counted by December 13th be invalidated. That would seem to follow Federal Law and nothing the states or House say or do would affect such a decision.

As long as a ballot is postmarked on or before November 3rd, they should be counted as long as the state makes the reporting deadline of December 14th.
