Well, in my own way, I have. I've changed my mind over the last couple of years on a pretty important (for me) matter: I used to think that any of us could drop the partisan ideology and the ego and work together to get things done, if properly motivated. I no longer feel that way.

I believe now that there is a segment of the population, well-represented on this board -- you might think of them as radicalized -- who simply will never be part of constructive conversation, because they lack or have lost the capacity to do so. The rest of us will have to work around them. It may work, it may not.
