Well, it is a political forum. Duh. Over half the country has consistently polled at disapproving his performance for his entire term. Normally, moderators on social networks moderate so discussions can be conducted with members' articulating opinions and facts about political issues and topics. When moderators fail and allow vandalism of threads people wishing to conduct educational and fair debates are stymied and prevented from doing so. Discussions and debates become personal power trips and ego fuel for moderators. The platform becomes corrupted and lacks integrity and becomes little more than a stomping ground for extreme partisan politics. A small handful of crude, vile and low IQ uninformed morons are hence, able to destroy any semblance of fair and intellectual debate.
 
This move was long overdue. Should have been done weeks ago.

Firing another competent civil servant for political reasons is just another subtle, insidious way Trump continues to weaken the country.

Atkinson became Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) in May 2018.[2] He was nominated to the position in November 2017 by President Donald Trump[8] and was confirmed by the United States Senate by voice vote on May 14, 2018.[9] At his confirmation hearings, Atkinson indicated that he would bring order to the troubled ICIG's office, which had a reputation for dysfunction, and pledged to revive a whistleblower program that had become virtually defunct under the previous Acting Inspector General,[10]saying that he would "encourage, operate, and enforce a program for authorized disclosures by whistleblowers within the intelligence community that validates moral courage without compromising national security and without retaliation."[5] Restoring the whistleblower program was a major priority among members of the Senate Intelligence Committee.[10]

President Donald Trump has notified the Senate Intelligence Committee that he is firing Michael Atkinson, the inspector general for the U.S. intelligence community who was the first to alert Congress to an urgent whistleblower complaint about Trump’s phone call with Ukraine’s president last year.

In a July 25 phone call, Trump pressured President Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into unfounded accusations against former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. At the time, Trump was withholding military aid from Ukraine, a form of coercion for political gain that led to his impeachment in the House.

Trump notified the Senate committee of his intention to fire Atkinson and remove him from his post as inspector general of U.S. intelligence agencies, which will be effective 30 days from Friday, according to congressional officials and a copy of Trump’s notification in a letter obtained by several media outlets.

There is no doubt trump is a petulant man-child; his vindictive behavior is despicable, and the manner in which his obsequious Yes Men surround him inflates what is already a megalomaniac; a vindictive man-child who abuse his power without consideration of the consequences of his acts or the Constitution.

Why any rational, observant voter will cast their vote for trump is truly amazing. The same goes for the voters in Kentucky who might vote to continue to allow McConnell the power he has now and abuses.

There is no doubt that democracy is at stake as long as McConnell retains the power no person in a position of trust should be allowed to abuse; he and The President must be removed from office by the vote of the people to alter what has become a political party out of touch with We the People; they are fully focused on winning elections not governing along with the mission statement left to us in the Preamble.

Elections have consequences, and some consequences are destructive to the value and principles of democracy. The ill named Freedom Caucus along with The President and the Senate Leader need to be put out.

Our democracy is at stake, even today trump and his fellow travelers in the Congress have set the stage to deny voting by mail. They know that they cannot win the election based on their record, and based on hate and fear rhetoric. McConnell has refused to protect the vote from foreign influence, and that is deplorable and destructive to deny the people the absolute right to alter the form of governance now in power.
