Trump At TurningPoint

Wow! That crowd is HUGE and REALLY ENGAGED!

And?

That photo is 80+ years old and in a different country. It has 0 relevance to today. But then, Obama had big crowds too so if you're gonna compare crowd sizes you must include Obama in your little hit-piece post.

It should tell all Americans that our two party system is a joke. It’s all set up for the oligarchs to rule. The people have no power.

50 years in DC proves Old Joe sucks, but so does dumb Don. Why bother voting? It clearly means nothing, but Americans want to cling to their indoctrinated beliefs.
That's why I voted for Trump. Long term, geriatric D.C. elected bureaucrats from both parties hate him. He just appropriated the Republican party because it was closer to his core views. In today's U.S. political landscape, an independent is a losing position.

You brought it up, not me.
I brought up Trump's appearance and huge audience at Turning Point. Then, I posted a photo of Biden's sparse town hall as a comparison. YOU brought up Nazi Germany and posted an 80+ year old photo in a desperate attempt to paint Trump and his followers as Nazi-like. What's it like to be such a stupid fucking troll?

Oh, calm down, Trumpster. Crowd size isn't necessarily an indication of a positive thing in politics. Most adults know that.

And besides, I don't think any politician has ever been more loved by his rubes than your guy. Ever. So that's nice, right?

You should pay attention to those crowds and not just give lip service. If our country continues on it's present course there is a Hitler in our future. If not Trump then someone else. A Hitler or a Stalin. Pick a side.

Well, I would say Trump does need adoration but that translates to votes.

Actually, Trump's graphoanalytical profile is not at all like that of a person who lives for approval and adoration. That is more like a Hollywood actor and Trump is not that.

And if Trump was so driven by adoration, then where was he the first 70 years of his life living a rather reclusive life of a billionaire real estate developer?

The only reason why we got to see as much of him as we did over the years (other than the NBC TV show), was because he dated beautiful women, showed up at big gala parties, and lead a rather exciting jet-set lifestyle of a playboy that sold lots of newspapers.

It's Dems in Washington who will whore themselves out for 5 minutes of adoration by the media.

well since biden is not a pathological lying sociopath who is also a malignant narcissist with arrested development, i'll say they are polar opposites in so many ways that count.
That’s delusional. Biden has lied his entire career. He might not be a narcissist though. Minor discrepancy.

Okay. No voting. How do we pick leaders?

If you think voting as it’s practiced today is a good way, you haven’t paid attention.

There must be a better way. No?
Maybe. Maybe not. Ranked choice is appealing but probably won’t have any actual impact on who gets elected.

Some people are just going to be salty no matter what.

Yes he certainly is. After all, he’s not any different than dumb Don. Wingers can’t see this though.

You always say this, but I honestly cannot understand what factors you're using in your calculus that has Trump being exactly the same as Biden.

I'm going to rattle off a few factors that I believe to be very important, and compare Trump to Biden in each category.

1. Federal budget

Trump
Biden
Proposed $4.4 Trillion cut to federal budget, and path to a balanced budget: Trump Budget Cuts Size of Federal Government, but Bolder Reforms Needed

"President Donald Trump’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2021 would reduce the size and reach of the federal bureaucracy significantly by shifting government responsibilities back to constitutional priorities and empowering state and local governments."

"These reforms, contained in the request Trump sent Monday morning to Congress, would put the budget on track to balance and represent a significant first step toward reducing spending and stabilizing the nation’s unsustainable debt."
Proposes massive increase in federal budget that far out paces GDP: President Biden's Full FY 2022 Budget

"The Biden Administration today released its first full budget, laying out its proposals for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 and the subsequent decade. The budget proposes significant increases in spending, revenue, and borrowing over the next ten years. Under the plan, ... debt would grow to 117 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by the end of FY 2031"

"Debt would rise from 100 percent of GDP at the end of FY 2020 and a record 110 percent at the end of 2021 to 114 percent by 2024 and 117 percent by the end of FY 2031. In nominal dollars, debt would grow by $17 trillion, from $22 trillion today to over $39 trillion by the end of FY 2031"

In other words, Biden's budget would put us a hair shy of doubling the national debt in just 10 years.
Proposed "Rescission" Bills that would have saved billions in taxpayer dollars from bureaucratic waste by impounding funds that are over-allocated to federal agencies/programs and rolling them back into the next federal budget, rather than letting the agencies blow the money at the end of the fiscal year like they typically do so their budgets aren't cut. President Trump’s Late Term Rescission Request Would Save Taxpayers $27 Billion

Of course, Congress never passed any of these Rescission Bills, even when it was republican controlled.
Rescission Bills are not even in the Biden Administration's lexicon. Rather, Biden is proposing increases in funding to almost every supermassive government spending program, as well as creating new federal bureaucracies.

Case in point, Biden is proposing a new program called the "Civilian Climate Corps" and calling for $10 billion in initial funding for this initiative, plus hundreds of millions in additional discretionary funds. https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IN/IN11654

Any guess what the purpose of this "Civilian Climate Corps" is, or what they will be doing, other than siphoning tax dollars and strong-arming policies that will make a fortune for its green-energy cronies while causing stagnation and job loss in working sectors.
Succeeded in getting NATO allies to contribute their proportionate share, rather than the US footing the bill for the entire world as it had been doing.Immediately undid everything Trump did vis-a-vis NATO
Exited the Paris Climate Accords, which was costing the US taxpayers billions of dollars, more than any other countryImmediately re-entered the Paris Climate Accords

2. Foreign Wars

Trump
Biden
No new foreign wars. First president in decades not to start a new war. Reduced troop presence in middle east, called for troop withdraw from Serbia and Afghanistan (warmongers lost their minds). Brokered several peace accords, resulting in multiple Nobel Peace Prize Nominations.

Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for accord between Serbia & Kossovo, bringing peace to the Balkans which was a warzone during Obama's Admin.

Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for Israel-UAE peace treaty, and the Israel-Bahrain compact.

Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize on the basis of the “Trump Doctrine” to end all endless and unnecessary wars.
It's only been a few months so it's too soon to know. But he's starting out with the handicap that he was VP in the Obama Admin that was the most warmongering administration in our nation's history.

"U.S. military forces have been at war for all eight years of Obama’s tenure, the first two-term president with that distinction. He launched airstrikes or military raids in at least seven countries: Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan." President Obama, who hoped to sow peace, instead led the nation in war

No reason to believe he's going to be any different based on his other examples of being a puppet on a string thus far, especially since he's surrounding himself with Obama admin re-treads.

3. American Economy

Trump
Biden
Energy initiatives made America a net exporter of energy, rather than being dependent on OPEC, for the first time since 1953. Lowest gas prices in more than a decade. One of his first acts as president was to shut down Keystone XL pipeline, ended federal fossil fuel exploration leases, and campaigned on phasing out fossil fuels altogether. Gas is up more than 30% from where it was when Trump left office. Consequently, prices on most consumer goods are up as well.
Actually cut taxes on the middle class.

"The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, championed by President Trump and congressional Republicans, spurred a boom in economic growth that took Americans off the sidelines and got them back to work."
Actually campaigned on raising taxes. Vowed to end Trump tax cuts. The consequences of his policies have already levied de-facto taxes on working Americans in the form of general inflation, increased fuel prices, etc.
Prior to Covid, the economy was humming due to cutting regulatory red tape, bringing jobs back from overseas, and tax cuts. Workforce participation was at historic highs, unemployment at historic lows, and middle class/blue collar income was rising. The economy reopened months ago, but employers are having difficulty finding employees to work because of continued federal unemployment and giveaways that Biden has advocated for, not to mention importing competition for blue collar jobs, which brings me to...
Significantly curtailed illegal immigrationIllegal immigration at an all time high

That's all I have time for right now. But these things are key factors for evaluating a US President, and they are quite disparate as between Trump and Biden. Trump was by no means perfect, but his policies were legitimately geared towards maximizing the American economy and course-correcting some major problems that were out of control due to mistakes by prior administrations. He was head over heels better than Biden, who is an outright disaster so far and is hell bent on advancing policies that are objectively toxic to our country's future, economic and otherwise.
