What do you make of capitalism-themed humor (e.g., Oh, God! You Devil)?

"I came to America as a young boy and began making comic book fan-fics on the Internet after studying Cognitive Science at an Ivy League school. I'm interested in the connections between psychology and creativity. I'm also curious about how capitalism is correlated to social consciousness. Is commerce spiritual?"

"I have a Rottweiler pet dog and I show him some of my drawings and doodles of iconic avatars like Captain America and Medusa. I trust no one like I trust my dog. I tell my dog everything, even my fear of the Apocalypse. Basically, I'm fascinated by how capitalism makes values challenging, leading to 'civilization maladies' such as eco-pollution. I sometimes dress up like a vigilante, especially when I blog about pornography/censorship on the Internet."

"My name is Ajay Satan, and I've dabbled in everything from Judaism to Ouija. I'm a big fan of horror-comics and love Friday the 13th films. What strikes me most about American consumerism is a special focus on marketing-oriented imagination (e.g., MTV). When my sarcastic comics fan-fics were published in the New Yorker magazine, I was invited to be a guest-performer on Saturday Night Live [SNL]."

"Unfortunately, I have a deep dark secret. I've been stalked by the demonic spirit of Jason Voorhees who haunts my dreams and inhibits me from making a real meaningful spiritual/emotional connection with a woman whom I might endanger! In fact, I have a dream about Jason almost once-a-month, and it's really trying. I wake up in a cold sweat and wonder if I should be 'extra-critical' of consumerism/cinema."

"Because I studied some anthropology in college, I know a bit about Ancient World avatars like Medusa, an eerie snake-woman who can turn men into stone with her deadly gaze. I wonder if Medusa would be a funny guest on SNL or a quaint video-game avatar for the Mortal Kombat franchise. Why are Americans interest in 'colloquial philosophy' (Small Wonder)?"

"One day, after a terrible Jason Voorhees dream/nightmare, I decided to rob a bank. I called up three college buddies and we wore masks of U.S. Presidents (Reagan, Carter, Nixon, and Johnson) and robbed a federal bank in California on a warm Saturday afternoon and fled to Mexico. We spent our money in one year and then I returned to my home in Virginia (USA). I'll always remember our successful robbery as a 'psychological symbol' of 'anti-capitalism sarcasm'."

"After seeing and witnessing and meditating so much, I have concluded that the best 'feature' of consumerism/commerce is Toxic Waste Sour Candy, an ultimate token of conscious capitalism (if there is such a thing!). I pop these candies like depression-pills, and I'll do so until I turn 50, which is simply too old an age to be eating candy. Now that it's Halloween, I'll be popping these candies and hoping my Jason dreams/nightmares finally come to a happy end."

"I showed my Rottweiler dog, Sandy, a picture of a G.I. Joe fan-fic painting I found on the Internet of the female-patriot named Scarlett, a representative of democracy and American values. Sandy looked at it wondrously and I think wanted me to consider why I shouldn't date a woman like Scarlett. I realized that perhaps if I wished hard enough, Scarlett might be able to destroy that haunting spirit of Jason Voorhees which inhibits me from making a lasting emotional connection with a woman I love. That's my 'spiritual testimony' regarding capitalism/consumerism. That's why I love Whore."

TRUMP: What did you make of Ajay Satan's editorial?
CARTER: I think it was published in the New Yorker for its 'capitalism poignancy.'
TRUMP: They're calling Ajay the 'real-life Neo.'
CARTER: I suppose there's always poetry in the world of marketing...
TRUMP: Is capitalism spiritual?
CARTER: Is socialism dangerous?
TRUMP: Are you a fan of the film Wall Street (Oliver Stone)?
CARTER: I prefer Celebrity (Woody Allen)!
TRUMP: I attended a Yale lecture on the value of Halloween.
CARTER: Halloween? Its relation to Samhain and candy-consumerism?
TRUMP: Yes. Trick-or-treating is a nice blend of candy and culture.
CARTER: Perhaps consumerism is philosophical (e.g., Anthropologie).
TRUMP: Are you a fan of Christian music?
CARTER: I prefer Christianity-themed films such as King of Kings.
TRUMP: Marketing ethics in cinema is not simple (e.g., Fight Club).
CARTER: Kids love cotton-candy and candy-cigarettes.
TRUMP: We have to mix capitalism with comedy (e.g., Double-Dare).
CARTER: Hail to the media...
