As soon as health care passes, the American people will see immediate benefits. The legislation will:

* Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans;

* Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool;

* Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans;

* Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole;

* Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage;

* Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans;

* Require plans to cover an enrollee’s dependent children until age 26;

* Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing;

* Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions;

* Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.

By enacting these provisions right away, and others over time, we will be able to lower costs for everyone and give all Americans and small businesses more control over their health care choices.

How I wish Americans would debate issues on the FACTS instead of lies.

I hope the people who have been lying about everything in this debate will recieve the credit they are due in November.

And Doctors will stop amputating our limbs just to get $20,000!!!!!111!!!!!!1!!!!!

Perhaps you could start, then we'll all see how it's done.

And yes, the Democrats who voted 'yes' and are up for re-election in November will receive the benefits they are due.... they can get in line for unemployment benefits like the millions they helped put there.

Those provisions in red above will cause increases in the premiums of all. The one including "children" up to the age of 26 will have little effect on cost due to the relative health of that population segment unless it also covers the expenses of child birth when these "children" have babies.

Like almost everything presented in this, there will be aditional costs that are not being covered by the government. The added taxes, the increased federal outlays, the unfunded mandates to the states and the under-predicted increases in the premium costs are just the tip of the ice berg.

There will very shortly be an across the board federal payroll tax to finance this and it will not be in the "lock box" dreamed of by Gore. Another slush fund for the greed of our supported thieves.

Any state that is currently not in hock is outsourcing as much as possible to firms that specialize in very tightly defined functions. The Big 0 having examined the world from the perspective of the Chicago Mob knows that the people who do this for a living are wrong and he is right. People who must cut costs to maintain their livlihood do it one way. The Big 0 thinks they are all wrong and he is right.

Competition has lowered costs in every instance where it is allowed to flouish. The Big 0 proposes eliminating competition and centralizing the whole mess into several government agencies comprised of people who will thrive on growing their departments with payrolls and benefits worth 150% of what would be paid in the private sector.

How could anything go wrong with this?

And how could we leave out: Government having direct access into your bank accounts to pay for ObamaCare?

Oopsies, did you forget that one?

Hi Bfg:

As soon as health care passes, the American people will see immediate benefits. The legislation will:

* Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans ...

In other words, sick people will automatically be covered, which will drive 'up' the costs of insurance for everyone, i.e. new taxes in the form of higher insurance rates.

* Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool ...

Again, your insurance rates will go 'up' (sky high) in order to cover the uninsured and people in high-risk pools with pre-existing conditions.

Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans ...

In other words, you will be forced into buying insurance in pools with 250 and 300-pound idiots and people who smoke 3 packs of cancer sticks per day. We are talking about 'mandated' insurance pools where you are forced to pay high rates 'or' pay a fine or spend time in jail for refusing to join in.

Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole ...

There is no free lunch and somebody will pay and that somebody is 'you.'

Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage ...

Tax credits are no good if an Illegal Alien has your job. Thirty-five cities have an unemployment rate above 15 percent and that number is growing, which means less money in the local budgets. ObamaCare is a job killer ...

Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans ...

Again, there is no free lunch and somebody is going to pay and when you cannot pay, then the cost will be passed to your children and grandchildren. ObamaCare is all about transferring private sector debt to the National Debt that is more than 100 Trillion Dollars and growing.

Require plans to cover an enrollee’s dependent children until age 26 ...

And I suppose you believe the cost of extending these benefits will 'lower' the cost of health care :)cuckoo:) ...

Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing ...

Each time you 'require' insurance companies to pay more, then the 'cost' of health care goes UP and that means higher prices for everyone. What most people fail to realize is that health care costs will continue spiraling out of control, because the U.S. Dollar is losing value and it takes more dollars to buy the same goods and services. All of this ObamaCare Nonsense is going to cause the holders of American Debt to realize that We The Sheeple cannot pay up, which means Moody's will remove the U.S. Triple-A Rating and the cost of servicing the Debt will escalate even higher. ObamaCare can very well be the final nail in the coffin for the U.S. Dollar ...

Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions ...

Every cent that health care goes up for insurance companies will be passed along to the American Consumer and American Businesses that cannot compete against overseas companies. Again, ObamaCare is a JOB KILLER and more JOBS will be shipped overseas because of this Health Care Stupidity ...

Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.

You act like 'insurers' are going to foot the bill for ObamaCare, when they will profit from passing those costs on to you and your children and grandchildren. Thirty-five State Attorney Generals (Virginia and 34 others + Idaho is first) are ready to begin suits in behalf of their State Citizens to kill the "Health Care Mandates" attached to this ObamaCare Fascist STUPIDITY ...

By enacting these provisions right away, and others over time, we will be able to lower costs for everyone and give all Americans and small businesses more control over their health care choices.

There is NO WAY you are going to extend all of the Benefits "AND" lower the cost of Health Care :)cuckoo: you moron). The way is being paved for Higher Taxes On EVERYTHING, as companies figure out new ways to pass these costs onto the U.S. Consumer ...

Let me give one clue to the clueless: America is BROKE and ObamaCare will cost 1,000,000,000,000 dollars and every cent is being put on a credit card. Imagine if your house finances were run like this ...
