The Bible states the poor will always be around from what people say. So we try to keep poverty at a minimum. We try to help people and many have made it a permanent condition. A condition that takes away from others who may need help. And the costs keep rising. A good percentage are even irresponsible knowing the programs are there. That is not what they are officially for. And progs sure do not change the parameters that much for collecting and using benefits.

We need a new party for normal, balanced people. Republicans represent 25% of the population, Democrats represent 31% of the population. The new party could be 44%.

There is already a third party comprised of all the Independents that vote Democrat or Republican.
The problem is that the center isn't really the center of anything.

I don't want half of either side ... And would rather have a more Constitutionally based Conservative Government that actually protects our Liberties.
That doesn't resemble anything on Capitol Hill, or any policy that has come out of the Beltway since the Former President Calvin Coolidge (except the Civil Rights Act) ...

No doubt, God recognizes that his children have NOT fought hard against pornography, abortion and a host of transgressions against his commandments. I think so too, but I've given up on the idea. At least for now.

The two parties now are so unattractive that the need for a third party in between them is obvious. And you'd think that many from both parties would jump ship if a decent alternative popped up. But our system, as it is today, just doesn't allow for it. And worse, our society is so tribal and binary now that it's tough to imagine that moderate lefties and moderate righties in leadership positions would even talk to each other.

I hope I'm wrong. This is a shit show.

The catch is in the idea that a Third Party would or should be a Centrist Party.
To successfully have a Centrist Party you have to compromise between two sides.

Then you have the Independents, that aren't necessarily Centrists.
You cannot compromise when you don't really have anything the the person you are trying to compromise with wants.

I mean seriously, if the question is whether or not you cut off my right or left arm ... Where the hell is the, how about we don't go around cutting our arms off?
It doesn't matter if the Centrists comes along decides that is unacceptable to cut our arms off, and everyone should just cut their hands off instead.

Principle and policy is what should decide your politics ... Not simply where you fall on a scale between bad and worse ...
