Tienanmen Square in China and Lafayette Square in the U.S.A - no difference.

So Trump used riot police and tear gas to clear PEACEFUL protesters from a church way, just so he can go take a P.R. photo. with a bible. Disgusting.
The U.S.A is really no different than China. Trump and Conservatives always want to make their country more like China. China is passing a law that makes insulting the national anthem illegal. Which is what Trump wanted to do when the football players were taking a knee in protest during the US anthem. And now Trump want to send in the military to be a tough guy against people exercising their democratic right to protest. How is that different than Hong Kong?

Its not but if you play the star spangled banner, wave a flag, and call the protesters rioters and looters you can convince some people that you hold the moral high ground.

Under Obama we had people from other nations burning the American Flag while showing their own. And with our taxes going to many of them in different ways that was pushing it. Pushing it pretty hard. Most people have up and down feeling about our flag throughout their lives. But if it remains down for anyone, do not collect a cent from anyone out of pity then.

This was already debunked. No Tear gas, just smoke, and people threw shit at the cops.

There is little comparison, especially since America is the most free, accountable system on earth, while China is a communist state.

However, it's because of such comparisons that I DIDN'T want Trump to use the military in cities. I thought it was a poorly used approach. He has to realize that an election is coming soon and thus he has to be middle of the road where possible.

Yes, talk tough against China, against global socialist abusers and bring in the National Guard after calling out the governors and mayors, but to bring in the military I think would have been a major controversy and step he didn't need to take. This is what groups like ANTIFA want him to do and I was surprised to hear some guests on Fox News encourage Trump to do so. No, let the local police or, if need be, the National Guard deal with it. If and when they won't, Trump has to call them out and make sure that agitators from ANTIFA are arrested.

There were tanks in Lafayette Square ?

The Chinese demonstrators were not rioting, looting and destroying businesses and property. 60 Chinese Secret Serviceman were not injured by highly aggressive and organized Chinese rioters. And of course 10,000 American demonstrators were not massacred in the streets. Therefore the two incidents are not the same at all.

Neil, Before you make an ass of yourself again, try studying a little history. This concludes today's lesson in false equivalencies.

Your first sentence is a blatant Democrat lie. Nothing that follows deserves attention.

The major difference is that the Chinese were fighting to end oppression the looters and arsonists here are fighting for the power to oppress.

Trump did not use tear gas...that is a lie...and Trump does not want to send in the military against people exercising their rights....he wants to send in the national guard to suppress the looting rioting and insurrection....its been done many times in the USA....so either you are a bold face liar or you have been severely misinformed...which is it?....
