Three Things To Be Aware Of

All curriculum must be approved by the school board through a unanimous election. You people are going a little overboard with the fear factor of learning that the US was racist and how Asians were not supposed to ever become citizens of the US because they hated the Asians as much as the blacks.
Well, that might be because the US was NOT racist. It has some racists in it, but the USA was NOT racist. I know you won't believe that, and I don't give a fuck if you do or not. But teaching our children lies like CRT should be opposed at the top of our lungs.
It's a FAKE issue. 6 months ago you nutjobs never heard of CRT. Now it's the most important thing in the world to you. Until wingnut media tells you to hate something different.

"More Than 5,000 Woke Teachers Sign Pledge to Teach CRT 'Regardless of the Law'

Throughout much of 2021, conservatives, in both classrooms and in the halls of state legislatures, have been fighting back against the pervasive influence of critical race theory in public schools.

Laws banning the instruction of CRT tenets in public schools have passed in more than 20 states, and there is reason t0 hope that the tide is beginning to turn in the fight for the country’s history and principles.

Unfortunately, the Zinn Education Project refuses to accept defeat, and desires to teach American children that this country was founded upon the “dispossession of Native Americans, slavery, structural racism and oppression,” as opposed to the principles of liberty enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution."

The teachers unions like our government are too big for their britches. Both need to be knocked on their asses so they remember we the people are in charge , not them.

Did you just suggest the OP cannot be right because the curriculum has to be approved by a leftist running schoolboard?

Do they teach that those laws were all 100% Democrat???

Or....any of this?

1. The Democrats are, and have always been, the party of slavery, segregation, and second-class citizenship, the party that stood in schoolhouse doors to block black school children….until Republicans sent in the 101st airborne

2. It is the party of Jefferson Davis, of Nathan Bedford Forrest and the Knights of the KKK, Planned Parenthood, concentration camps for American citizens, and restrictions on free speech.

3. It is the party of Mao ornaments on the White House Christmas tree, and of James Hodgkinson, and of Communist Bernie Sanders, of pretend genders.

4. The Democrat Party is the oldest racist organization in America, the trail of tears, the author of Jim Crow and the bigotry of low expectations, filibustered against women getting the vote and killed every anti-lynching bill to get to Congress

5. The Democrat Party is the number one funder of the Islamic Revolution in Tehran….to the tune of $100 billion to the Ayatollahs….and gave Hezbollah the go-ahead to sell cocaine in America.

6. It is the party of anti-Semitism and Louis Farrakhan, and of the first Cabinet member ever to be held in contempt of Congress.

7. It is the party that admits its future depends on flooding the country with illegal aliens, and telling them to vote.

8. It is the party that couldn't suck up to the Castro Brothers enough, and treats the Bill of Rights like a Chinese menu..

9. The Democrats got us into the Civil War…Jefferson Davis .... Woodrow Wilson, WWI….FDR, WWII……Truman, Korean War….VietNam, JFK and LBJ…..yet they want to weaken our military.

10. The Democrats are the party that looks at the mayhem their gun laws have produced in Chicago, ……and this is their model for the nation.

11. I should mention that the Democrat Party was used as a model by Adolph Hitler and the Nazi Party….another ‘feather’ in the party’s cap?

12. The Democrat Party is now running on full-blown anti-white racism.

13. It's the party of felons over law-abiding actual citizens

14. No shared values, not an American party…they oppose free speech, the second amendment, and the free practice of one’s religion.

15. Recent development prove the Democrats to be, as well, the party of rioters, arsonists, murderers, and anarchists.

Democrats: Bull Connor, George Wallace, Orval Faubus, Lester Maddox, Al Gore, Sr., Bill Clinton….all racists, all Democrats.

“…Hitler learned from progressive sterilization laws that had been enacted in America through the influence of activists like Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. “I have studied with great interest the laws of several American states concerning prevention of reproduction by people whose progeny would in all probability be of no value or be injurious to the racial stock.”

Hitler’s views—which closely parallel Sanger’s—provided the basis for the Nazi sterilization laws of 1933 which began by targeting “imbeciles” and the mentally retarded, and later expanded to cover Jews, gypsies, and other social undesirables.” Dinesh D’Souza: What Hitler Learned from the Democrats

  • Hitler wrote to the president of the American Eugenics Society to ask for a copy of his “The Case for Sterilization.”

"Critical Race Theory Is Cultural Marxism, Has No Place in Classroom

Critical race theory is a twisted and vile concept.

Just as Marxism before it, critical race theory eliminates our individuality and instead divides us into groups of the “oppressor” and the “oppressed.”

Where Marxism divided people according to economic status, critical race theory divides people based on the color of their skin—just like the very racists that its proponents claim to oppose.

And, just as with Marxism before it, the goals of critical race theory will only be achieved by means of a full-scale revolution to rewrite any trace of American history.

Critical race theory is a twisted and vile concept.
It’s the belief that our nation’s somber history of slavery can only be redeemed by erasing every institution and person that took any part in the nation’s founding.

Those alarming teachings have spread into almost every corner of American society—our culture, our military, and our government, but most urgently, our classrooms."

1. Critical Race Theory, an off-shoot of anti-American neo-Marxism, is being imposed on your children. For some time the proponents pretended that it isn't....they lie.

Union-Linked Coalition Scripts ‘Messaging’ To Counter Parental Pushback Against Critical Race Theory

Attacks on parents and groups opposing CRT in K-12 follow closely the messaging scripts and tactics prepared by the 300-group Future of Learning coalition CRT Messaging Guide. And deep in the mix was the largest teachers union in the nation, the National Education Association.

…mainstream media and K-12 school and teachers union officials have been in a frenzy asserting that Critical Race Theory (CRT) does not really exist outside of legal and higher ed academia, that CRT is not taught in K-12, that parents protesting against CRT are billionaire-backed astroturf, and that opponents can’t even define what CRT is.

… CRT apparently is sufficiently defined and sufficiently taught in K-12 that NEA is coming to its rescue and promotion. The claims that CRT is not a thing in K-12 were a fraud.”

2. This is the heart of what they want everyone to accept:

"I Read Robin DiAngelo’s New Book on ‘Nice Racism.’ Here Are 3 Takeaways.

DiAngelo refers to a checklist that she borrowed from a professor of education. Here’s a small snippet from the lengthy, anti-racist to-do list.

• I continually educate myself about racism and the perspectives of BIPOC [black, Indigenous, and people of color] people.
• I hold awareness of my whiteness in all settings and that awareness guides how I engage.
• I am involved in anti-racist projects and programs.
• I raise issues about racism over and over, both in public and in private.
• I make sure anti-racism is part of the discussion in meetings and project planning.
• I avoid personalizing racial issues as they are raised in conversation.
• I can identify many aspects of racism as they are happening.
• I attend to group dynamics to ensure the inclusion of BIPOC people.
• I support and validate the contributions of BIPOC people.
If you are not doing all of these things all the time, and then some, you are perpetuating white supremacy."

3. Did you vote Democrat?

How dare educators try and teach the facts, especially if it makes someone uncomfortable.

".... facts...."

No facts here:

1. Critical Race Theory, in the definition proposed in the 1993 book Words That Wound, co-authored by Mari Matsuda, Charles Lawrence III, Richard Delgado, and Kimberlè Crenshaw:

"Critical race theory recognizes that racism is endemic to American life. Rather than seeing racism as aberrational, CRT scholars see it as the norm.

Critical race theory expresses skepticism toward dominant legal claims of neutrality, objectivity, color blindness, and meritocracy.

More important, as critical race theorists we adopt a stance that presumes that racism has contributed to all contemporary manifestations of group advantage and disadvantage along racial lines, including differences in income, imprisonment, health, housing, education, political representation, and military service. Our history calls for this presumption….whites must simply defer to the voices of their non-white peers."

2. The simplest rebuttal is this statement of America’s Creed, which is the opposite of CRT.

…the creed embodies “the political principles of liberty, equality, democracy, individualism, human rights, the rule of law, and private property.” Samuel P. Huntington’s Who Are We? The Challenges to America’s National Identity, p.46

3. A detailed and step-wise dismembering of the aberrant anti-humanity Critical Race Theory, by James A. Lindsay, begins here:

“ Critical Race Theory believes racism is present in every aspect of life, every relationship, and every interaction.

…the usual way society does business, the common, everyday experience of most people of color in this country,”

… what they mean by “racism” isn’t even what most people think racism means. It is not prejudice based upon race or believing some races to be superior or inferior to others that they mean by “racism.” It is, instead, the “system” of everything that happens in the social world and beyond that results in any disparity that works in the favor of “racially privileged” groups (on average) or any “racially oppressed” person claiming they experience racial oppression.

… people who take up Critical Race Theory to look for racism in everything until they find it.

In the workplace that adopts Critical Race Theory, this means that it’s only a matter of time until someone with that worldview finds out how your entire company and its culture is “racist.” At that point, they will cause a meltdown that forces everyone to take sides and demand a reorganization of the entire (now divided) office culture and management.

In schools, it will mean teaching our children to think this way and always be looking for racism in every situation and interaction. In our personal relationships, it means that friends and even family members—especially our kids who have already been educated with Critical Race Theory ideas that have been incorporated in our schools—will eventually call each other out and reject one another, because tolerating racism is also considered a form of racism t

hat would have to be discovered and stopped.”

Eight Big Reasons Critical Race Theory Is Terrible for Dealing with Racism

This is the binary system into which the Left has plunged America: to vote Democrat is to endorse Critical Race Theory....,

.....and vice versa.
Here is a fact we actually might agree on: Blacks in the US are, by just about any measure, doing worse than Whites.

There are only two reasons that I can see that would explain this
  1. Blacks are innately unable to compete on an equal footing with Whites BECAUSE they are Black and their genes limit their abilities.
  2. Blacks are just as capable as Whites but something external is holding their progress back.
I don't believe #1 is accurate (beyond some minor physical advantages Blacks may have that allow them to dominate some sports). I'd guess only the Confederate-flag-wavering racists on USMB would agree that it is #1 and I don't see you in that group. If it is agreed it is #2 then
  1. There is a history of systemic racism in this country (pretty hard to deny) and
    1. A. Blacks today are suffering from the effects of that history.
    2. B. Blacks today are being held back by attempts to help them (e.g., welfare)
  2. There is currently systemic racism in this country and it is preventing Blacks from moving ahead
  3. All the above
I'd put my money 3. All the above. When there are multiple causes of a problem, multiple solutions are required.

There are only three things important to the Democrat program, agenda.....Race, Class, and Gender.
Not liberty, not religious freedom, not prosperity, not individuality, not tranquility.
Race, Class, and Gender.

“Cultural Marxism, though it’s dismissed by critics as a “term invented by the Right”, “was an undeniable school of thought taking Marxist categories of oppressed and oppressor beyond the economic realm and applying to it other forms of oppression: gender, race, sexuality.” Caldron Pool

“A hundred years ago, kids in classrooms were taught the color of their skin was their most important characteristic — and if they looked a certain way, they were inferior. Today, kids again are being taught that the color of their skin defines them — and if they look a certain way, they’re an oppressor.”

"It was the misfortune of black Americans that they were just on the verge of passing through the immigrant experience when damaging ideas about welfare and the lenient attitude about crime took hold. It could have happened to the Italians, Germans, Jews or Irish, but luckily for them, there were no Liberals around to “help” when they arrived."

Get the heck out of blacks' way.....let them succeed.

Except for Democrat shackles, I bet you can't come up with any examples.

And day after day, they show us how needed CRT is.

"....how needed CRT is."

.....in order for Marxism to succeed and the United States be destroyed.

the Nazi Party credited the Democrats as their model???
Of course that was the Democratic Party of the South in the 1930s. I wonder which party Hitler would credit today?

Exactly when were black Americans just on the verge of passing through the immigrant experience?

The racist structures that created slavery, Jim Crow, and segregation still exist. They have not been dismantled.

The Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act went by a long way towards addressing some of this systemic racism

In recent years, the Republicans have allowed big chunks of the Voting Rights Act to expire and the states are busy passing laws to limit voting in minority areas as fast as they can.
