While you make a couple of good points here, the "hate American history" theme shines through to sort of eclipse the rest. I married into a family of "brown" people (immigrants of East Indian descent) who indeed are all hard workers and who all earned higher educations. Immigrants have always been vital to American survival on some level, but never on an open borders, mass human wave basis. The family I married into includes accountants, a virologist, a chemical engineer, a stock broker and so on in that vein; all people who benefited from our immigration system and in turn benefit our civilization greatly.

What the OP is alluding to is the mass, unregulated relocation of millions of people of low caliber from nations their own governments trashed, who want to come here (hell, who believe it is their right to come here), not for refuge or to make America a better place, but to "terraform" our culture and replace our own ancestors' generational roles as citizens. Not everyone who wants to come from everywhere else around the world can just migrate here and expect a warm reception. There must be enforced strong immigration law that limits who can come here (and stay) and how many. Otherwise our civilization ends . . . for the rest of us and our nation becomes something else.

I neither hate nor love history..history is. It is ironic that we so often fail to measure up to our ideals.
