I didn't know there was a TERM for this.

I tried to create a 3D version of the MC Escher
woven crate illusion .
Example: Here is another artists' modern rendition of it:

I made separate pieces using TOOTHPICKS,
and then discovered if I glued them to each other
in a ZIGZAG, then when you view it from an angle,
it looks like ESCHER's impossible box:

I drew ARROWS to show where the pointy pieces are actually protruding
FORWARD on the LEFT and
BACKWARDS on the RIGHT.

If you look at the shadow in the photo, you can see it's a single ZIGZAG shape making this image...
