Today's news focused on Pres-Elect Trump's first 100 days.

Here are some things that he may and may not be able to change, however McConnell and Ryan will need to agree, and the far right wing of the GOP will likely also need to agree:

1 - Jobs for the blue collar Midwest -- maybe.

Trump mentioned infrastructure projects on election night (it was 2:30 a.m. in NYC, 1:30 a.m. in Houston, 00:30 a.m. in Denver, which is morning, but 11:30 a.m. in Los Angeles which was still night).

It is only through infrastructure projects on a massive scale like FDR did in the 1930's for roads, bridges, dams, reservoirs, aqueducts, schools, public buildings, and The Great Wall Of Mexico. But these are Democrat or Independent/Nonpartisan political methods, not GOP. Naturally the GOP leadership and rank-and-file may not go for it.

2 - Immigration reform -- probably.

Unless the DEM's in the Senate filibuster this, it COULD be accomplished under a unified GOP Congress and White House. Ending illegal immigration and returning recent illegal aliens is a very popular notion everywhere except in the Communist State Of California which has been resisting the INS and ICE for decades.

3 - Obamacare repeal -- impossible.

This will never happen. The Senate has 48 DEM Senators and each one of them will take turns filibustering this. It will never happen.

Not only this, but secretly the GOP leadership may tell the DEM leadership, "Hey, we said we would do this but we were lying -- we really don't want to. So just filibuster it when we bring it to the floor."

It is critical that the GOP and Pres-Elect select a consistently strict-constructionist judge for the SCOTUS.

Except for the nepotism issue, Trump's older sister would be a good choice. She is a circuit court judge now, and she is fairly "conservative" meaning "not activist from the bench".

Ahem the architect of Obamacare was just on TV crying about the fact that Trump is going to repeal and replace Obamacare, it can be destroyed with a simple 51 vote majority, sorry to burst your bubble. :eusa_boohoo:
