Things are going from worse to worst.

Have you noticed how all of the first world is taking in refugees but the richest nation in the world????? Greedy, grasping and selfish. What a disgusting attitude?

When Haiti suffered and earthquake, you said "You're not coming here!".

I'm already hearing how you're not prepared to die for NATO, even though NATO went into Iraq and Afghanistan with you. You didn't even have the courtesy to tell the British or the French you were leaving. Some Ally you turned out to be. You damn well better show up for Europe, if needed.
Biden better damn well not send one American over there to fight. He has our border wide open. So then until our border is secure, not one American should die protecting another countries border.

Whatever does or does not happen in Ukraine has ZERO to do with our southern border

Not one American should go protect another countries border, while ours is getting invaded and hundreds of Americans are dying for it. Another thing are we going to print more money to do it and raise inflation even more?

Apparently we are held and judged guilty for our fathers sins. I must say if that is the case we are toast.

The real purpose of the U.S. response is (1) to stir up negative public opinion towards Russia; (2) to blame Russia for inflation and other economic problems; and (3) create a "World War 3" scenario wherein the U.S. Government can assume emergency powers and control the financing and conduct of upcoming elections.

So Russia(Putin) sending thousands of Tanks into the Ukraine unprovoked isn't in itself the actual act of starting WW3, but an American desire to control the narrative of Russia invading the Ukraine after the fact is somehow an American plot to sieze power...ok. What's the "real purpose" of the Russian initial action, not the US response?

Let's be clear: Nearly everything you see and hear from major media sources is political propaganda, because that is where money and power reside in our world. The level to which it has now descended hasn't been seen since the last world war, which suggests that we are headed towards another one.

The Russian incursion into the Ukraine resulted from a combination of corrupt political calculations and inept foreign relations. As we all know, Ukraine was a poor and corrupt member state of the Soviet Union before it collapsed after the Cold War. The United States capitalized on this opportunity by bribing and coercing that country into becoming a vassal state of its own.

This arrangement had several advantages: First, Ukraine became a rich source for extracting political and financial benefits. Second, dangling the prospect of NATO membership induced the Ukrainian government to keep quiet about its nefarious dealings with the U.S. Third, it created a valuable trump card for the U.S. in its dealings with Russia.

However, the election of President Trump threw a monkey wrench into this cozy situation. With the dealings with Ukraine being threatened with exposure, a campaign was quickly mounted to counter this threat by linking Trump to Russia in some sort of evil conspiracy. Instead, Russia was afraid of Trump and maintained a low profile during his Presidency.

However, the improbable election of Joe Biden and Democrat majorities in Congress caused Russia to reevaluate its opportunities, particularly in light of its unopposed occupation of Ukrainian in the Crimea during the last Democrat administration and the disastrous Afghanistan debacle under the new one.

As a result, Russia decided to establish a land bridge to Crimea, consolidate its control of eastern Ukraine and eliminate the threat of NATO membership all in one fell swoop. Ironically, Russia's biggest miscalculation to date may have been underestimating the lengths to which the U.S. administration is willing to go to preserve it domestic political power.

Instead of actually helping Ukraine defend itself against foreign incursion, the U.S. has done everything it can to portray Russian President Putin as a Hitleresque "madman" who is bent upon destroying Ukraine and murdering its inhabitants in his quest for world domination. (Actually, Stalin might be a more apt comparison.) The real purpose of the U.S. response is (1) to stir up negative public opinion towards Russia; (2) to blame Russia for inflation and other economic problems; and (3) create a "World War 3" scenario wherein the U.S. Government can assume emergency powers and control the financing and conduct of upcoming elections.

Or do you still cling to the belief that could never happen?
Great deduction.

Reminds me of a joke....

The pessimist says, "Man, things are so bad, they couldn't possibly get any worse."

The optimist says, "Oh, they sure can!"
