Thermite does not explode. It does not travel horizontally when ignited either.

Thermite - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thermite is a pyrotechnic composition of a metal powder and a metal oxide, which produces an aluminothermic reaction known as a thermite reaction. It is not explosive, but can create short bursts of extremely high temperatures focused on a very small area for a short period of time.

thanks for making the case because one of the reasons given in the NIST report for not investigating explosives was that the sound levels of a standard type demolition would of created higher decibel levels than where recorded...and required more explosions...they however never considered the use of thermite..do you really think top level nasa researchers and recipients of presidential awards of merit .did not think of this before putting their careers and reputations on the line...dumb ass

Statement in support of Architects and Engineers petition:

"The many visual images (massive structural members being hurled horizontally, huge pyroclastic clouds, etc.) leave no doubt in my mind explosives were involved [in the destruction of the World Trade Center]." AE911Truth

Signatory: Petition requesting a reinvestigation of 9/11, signed by more than 600 Architects and Engineers:

"On Behalf of the People of the United States of America, the undersigned Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and affiliates hereby petition for, and demand, a truly independent investigation with subpoena power in order to uncover the full truth surrounding the events of 9/11/01 - specifically the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers and Building 7. We believe that there is sufficient doubt about the official story and therefore that the 9/11 investigation must be re-opened and must include a full inquiry into the possible use of explosives that may have been the actual cause behind the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers and WTC Building 7." Once again dumb ass. Thermite makes very little noise going off unless specifically designed to. All there is is a pop and hiss. Bright flame as the thermite burns through the metal but not anywhere but right at the site of the thermite going straight DOWN.

no one is arguing the point retarded gunnery Sgt...in fact that is the whole point

Bull, YOU claimed in the other thread that Thermite EXPLOSIVES were used to cut the girders. You claimed that people heard the sound of light explosives going off and so that explaind it was thermite.

Thermite does none of the things you claimed.

you really need to veiw the information posted...and not just make stuff up

the top video is complete BULLSHIT, as uaual
and the bottom one has been posted HUNDREDS of times and it STILL doesnt support your thermite/thermate claims
since what was burning was ALUMINUM

is that what popular mechanics told you dive-con
no, its what common sense tells me
that, and knowing what happens to aluminum when it gets too hot
look up what happened to the HMS Sheffield in the faulklands war

this entire principle of this 'debate' is moronic

Thermite hisses, pops, and melts through damned-near anything- it ndoes not expand at any rate sufficient to create an 'explosion' (it can be used to excite other materials, and cause an explosion indirectly)

For an 'explosive' you use shaped c-4 blocks, to 'cut' through materials, you use detcord (I *think* dc uses c-4, but I could be mistaken on that), to melt/destroy something w/ minimal shrapnel and maximum destruction, you use thermite/thermate

eots, the man us right- you're wrong on this one, just accept it and revise your model

no the man is wrong...thermite is classified as a explosive...that does not mean it explodes
with a loud bang..either does gun powder unless contained..but gun powder is still an explosive...so no revision here..thermite is an explosive

wow it just hissis and pops a little I guess gunpwder is not an explosive

uhhhh....is wood flammable....yes ..is it classified as an explosive ?...uhhhh...no
gasoline however is indeed an explosive.......understand the difference between flammable and explosive yet ??

An explosive material is a material that either is chemically or otherwise energetically unstable or produces a sudden expansion of the material ...

1)Your latest definition exclusive thermite, which if fairly stable (hard to ignite) and not not burn rapidly at all or expand significantly (as gunpowder does when it burns)

and the correct answer is 'no'- gasoline is not flammable

Read up on thermite grenades, which melt materials without any real explosion the lies of which you get with even black powder (possibly the crudest of explosives still in use)
