There Was No Trump Derangement Syndrome. We Were Right About Him All Along

The stenographers of current events and the other hope-peddlers, with their horse-race journalism, false equivalence "both-sides-ism" and obsession with meaningless controversies would not let themselves see the truth of Trump's danger or that of his neo-fascist movement. To admit the truth about Trump would mean that the old habits of writing and thinking about American politics are obsolete. Moreover, such an admission would demand speaking truth to power in a way that many members of the mainstream news media, specifically, are too afraid to, for both professional and personal reasons.

Republicans and other members of the Trump movement used "Trump Derangement Syndrome" to bully their critics into silence. The American right celebrated drinking "liberal tears" and loved the way Trump's victory had made Democrats and so-called progressives go "crazy."

Trump Derangement Syndrome is weaponized language in the same vein as the myth of the "liberal media." Both lies put Democrats and the mainstream news media on the defense. While the American right and the Republican Party (and now Trump's neo-fascist movement) drag the issue-space further and further to the right — and have done so for decades — the "liberal media" tries to find an imaginary balance by presenting right-wing extremism as somehow a "reasonable" alternative point of view.

It was obvious from the beginning. The illusion of dictating terms, is a conservative mental disorder. That world doesn't exist a

I've finished reading all of the comments so far posted on this thread, and one thing stands out. Those who support trump never, ever even attempt to refute anything on the known list of his misdeeds in office. It's all name-calling, blanket, unsupported denials, and accusations that anyone who disagrees with them about trump and his actions has some form of mental illness. The trump movement is intellectually bankrupt, and seems to be based solely on a sense of rage against society that they can't articulate. They are fitting dupes for a wannabe dictator who refuses to explain anything about himself and his actions to the American People.
did you write something?

Thanks for illustrating my point so accurately.

I'm posting the below screen shot to illustrate the deficiency of some people.
Posting the same link is an example of sloppiness and haste that a few people that don't logic and rational thought as part of their life.
But this posting also totally ignores the following attachment that shows the extremely biased today Media is pissed Trump was elected.
Pissed because they bet 96% of their donations on Hillary! They believed their polls just as they are now believing the polls.
They continue to make Trump news negative and frankly all it is doing is pouring gasoline on an open fire.
The MSM doesn't seem to understand that the more they bias the news with headlines that are structured to present all the negative
aspects of Trump, THE MORE 50+ million people like me don't believe the MSM...but believe Trump.
I've used this example over and over but it seems lost on truly ignorant people.
Trump is NOT anti-immigrant as this google news search shows..66.800 results...while "Trump anti-illegal immigrant" results..2,470.
Millions of us are like Trump. We have relatives or ARE "LEGAL" immigrants. Surrender our foreign citizenship, took tests, and pledged allegiance. Things "ILLEGAL" immigrants don't do! Consequently we 50+ million don't believe the MSM's claim "Trump anti-immigrant" and as a result don't believe the MSM. Until the MSM discontinues it's BIASED, structured anti-Trump and truly anti-American stance...we won't believe them!

Supporting and voting for Trump is what’s deranged.
