"No-One Ever Died Illegally in Auschwitz": The Nazis' Obsession with Legalizing the Holocaust
Published on Nov 28, 2012
Harry Reicher, Professor of Law & Scholar-in-Residence at the Institute for Holocaust Law and International Human Rights at Touro Law delivered a Kristallnacht lecture to the Touro Law community on November 15, 2012 titled, "No-One Ever Died Illegally in Auschwitz": The Nazis' Obsession with Legalizing the Holocaust. This presentation examined the perversion of the country's legislative system, and its conversion into a savage instrument, designed to discriminate against, ostracize, dehumanize, and ultimately eliminate, its victims. It is a little-known dimension to the Holocaust, which added another weapon to the armory employed by the Nazis.
