There Have Been 13 Mass School Shootings Since 1966, Not 27 This Year---Why the inaccurate reporting?

I didn't conflate... that was the MSM... there were
school shooting,
mass shooting, and
mass school shooting.
Uvalde was a mass school shooting. Plain and simple. NOT 27 MASS shootings. Just 1 mass school shooting.
The other shootings DIDN"T have "Masses"!

Don't conflate mass shootings with school shootings.

The difference is significant. Education Week, which tracks all school shootings, defines them as incidents in which a person other than the suspect suffers a bullet wound on school property.
Many of the 26 previous shootings involved disputes between students in parking lots, or after athletic events, and all of them resulted in one or zero deaths. ONE or ZERO... NOT MASS!!

Criminologists i.e. scientists... believe the science???

A stricter tally of mass school shootings, conductedby criminologists for Scientific American, only includes incidents where the shootings resulted in at least four deaths.
Using their criteria, the number of mass school shootings in the U.S. since the year 1966 is 13.
These crimes claimed the lives of 146 people in total.

The MSM did not do what you claim they did. They did not claim there were 27 mass school shootings this year.

Stop lying.

Rampage at Robb Elementary is the 27th shooting to happen at a school so far this year

Now reading further the above...
They write...
According to Education Week, there have been at least 27 shootings at schools or on school property in the first five months of 2022
Including those killed at Robb Elementary, these shootings have resulted in 27 people being killed, including 24 students or children, and at least 40 people injured, according to Education Week.
Not all of the circumstances surrounding the shootings are alike, or similar to the tragedy that unfolded in Texas on Tuesday.

You lying POS, those are different links. Your OP linked an article by NPR which didn't actually say what you claimed. Now you're posting articles from CBS and edweek. :eusa_liar:

You see I think you misread the article or are taking somebody else's word for it.

There has been 27 school shootings this year.

But not 27 mass school shootings. Honest mistake I bet.
Many of the 26 previous shootings involved disputes between students in parking lots, or after athletic events, and all of them resulted in one or zero deaths. These deaths are still incredibly tragic, of course. But they are fundamentally unlike what happened in Uvalde.

Just because all who were shot were not killed does not make any school shooting any less of a statistic.

Does it really not count if 8 are shot but only 2 died?
The problem to me is people will define this to fit their need.

Like "assault rifle"

Both sides have as seen in this thread. Not all in the list is an actual school shooting but those that are number more than is claimed in the OP.

Oh I agree both sides are taking liberties with the stats.

In the absence of facts, use stats.

Doesn't matter. Someone decided to include ridiculous examples of school shootings in a list, and all the programmed hound dogs refuse to acknowledge the deception even after being shown the reports of the incidents.

When they have to lie to get the number up......there is no reason to trust them on anything else they say...

So far this year?

There has been one mass school shooting...the one that just happened......

It is hard to stampede uninformed people on the basis of one isolated, rare event..which is why they lie and include things that happen on weekends without any students at the school...

Yeah.....but the one side is lying...actually lying, in order to remove a Right........

Yeah, and they're probably the same people who preach to their kids about the virtues of always speaking honestly.

What they're really teaching kids is that it's okay to lie about something when being honest about it won't get you what you want.

Education Week says "school shootings."
NPR says "school shootings."
It was Reason dot com who made it about "mass school shootings," and then the OP blames the other two for being disingenuous.

Nice try.

Nope....

A shooting that takes place on a Saturday night, midnight, between two groups of drug dealers, with the school closed and no kids on school grounds is not a school shooting......

But thanks for playing.

They're extremely suggestive.
