Let me begin with a clarification. Not everybody who works for the federal government is anti-America. The despicable ones I often refer to were in high places by the time LBJ took office to be sure, but they did not gain ABSOLUTE control over the levers of power until after J. Edgar Hoover’s death. Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, and Janet Reno give definition to the worst of them. James Comey and Hoover are a study in contrasts.

Judge Andrew Napolitano is usually informative and accurate. He dropped the ball on this one:

Prevate sector Americans would be the better for it if James Comey used one-tenth of his authority to protect them from federal government abuses in the way J. Edgar Hoover did it. Whatever else Comey is he is a federal government henchman who will never lift a finger against Democrat traitors. Hell, Comey does everything in his power to protect criminals in high places; so there is not a chance he will arrest traitors like Hillary Clinton, or any of her co-conspirators.

Conversely, I am certain that Huma Abadin would have led a Conga line to the gallows had J. Edgar Hoover been in charge of the e-mail server investigation.

. . . a few words about J. Edgar Hoover (1895 - 1972) and Joseph McCarthy (1908 - 1957). Two men Democrats hate more than they hate Richard Nixon. Here is what they have in common that causes so much hatred among liberals:

1. Both man stood up to the federal government from within. Hoover’s never-found files on Democrats kept the worst of them in line for decades. Hoover’s death gave Democrats the green light that eventually punished the country with the Clintons and Taqiyya the Liar. (Imagine the field day Hoover would have had with the Clintons and the Chicago sewer rat.)

McCarthy went after Communists infiltrating government bureaucracies including the US Army. Senator McCarthy’s only mistake was not understanding the difference between hardcore Communists and “Americans” betraying their country for global government administered by the United Nations. The tragedy is that both end in the same place.

NOTE: The names listed in the Venona papers represent a mixture of outright traitors and those betraying the country for the United Nations.

List of Americans in the Venona papers - Wikipedia

2. Neither Hoover or McCarthy ever did or said anything to harm the American people. Not one contemporary Democrat can make that claim.

Janet Napolitano’s Rap Sheet

Judge Napolitano is on the right track about a big government police state, but he fails to clarify the difference between Comey and Hoover. As the coverup of Hillary Clinton’s espionage/treason proves —— Comey is a big government stooge who protects the scum in the federal government, while Hoover’s years at the FBI put the fear of God in federal government traitors:

In a nutshell, big government is our biggest problem. It thrives on more debt, more taxes, more regulations, more war, a secretive deep state and less personal freedom. Both Clinton and Trump would grow the government. Only Johnson would shrink it.

One of the most dangerous tendencies of big government is the generation of a police state -- wherein laws, rules and procedures are primarily written and can often be bent to aid law enforcement when it is encroaching on our personal freedoms. We saw a terrifying example of that last week when FBI Director James Comey behaved as if he were his most infamous predecessor, J. Edgar Hoover.

Judge Napolitano: FBI Director James Comey has behaved like J. Edgar Hoover

All things considered, J. Edgar Hoover did the best he could do for private sector Americans. Just think how far ahead the global government traitors would be had Hoover not been there.

Incidentally, nobody stood up to FDR. Hoover did just that during WWII:

Among those clamoring for internment of the Japanese was NOT FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. He forwarded a memorandum to President Roosevelt informing him that 770 Japanese Americans should be questioned and or arrested. Not only did Hoover not recommend the internment of all Japanese Americans, but he thought it was both unnecessary and a gross violation of civil liberties.

J. Edgar Hoover was on the right side of this one, too:

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.

Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing's close connections to the president shielded him – and the Border Patrol – from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.

XXXXX

General Swing's fast-moving campaign soon secured America's borders – an accomplishment no other president has since equaled. Illegal migration had dropped 95 percent by the late 1950s.

On the other hand, James Comey goes in the other direction. He never stood up to Obama & Company importing enemy combatants hiding among illegal immigrants and United Nations refugees.

Flanders is wrong in his estimation of Judge N.

N is questioning Comey's judgment not his character.

Many libertarian and conservative are as well, while some are not.

N is questioning Comey's judgment not his character.
To JakeStarkey: Your record remains intact. You are always wrong. Listen to Napolitano’s comparison again.

Incidentally, I found it ludicrous that Napolitano cited The Trial since “The essence of due process is notice and fairness.” never applies to even the wealthiest of private sector Americans.

But perhaps the gravest of Comey’s violations is that of the constitutional guarantee of due process. The essence of due process is notice and fairness. How exquisitely unfair of Comey to say, in effect, “We have something that warrants investigation of you, yet we don’t know its significance, so we can’t say what it is.” This is reminiscent of Franz Kafka’s “The Trial,” in which the lead character is being pursued for a year on unnamed charges, against which he cannot defend himself.

Note that Napolitano failed to mention one fact: Comey and the entire Department of Justice are the guards:

p.s. I know you saw the video in a previous thread, but the parable apparently went over your head. Bottom line: Clinton & Company walked before and they will walk again.

Flanders fumbles and bumbles as usual. Nothing new here. N is questioning the judgment, once again, not the character.

General Kelly looks like another great pick. Pray he follows in General Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing’s footsteps.

Kelly, 66, is not expected to face difficulty being confirmed, according to the Post. He is viewed as a border security hawk who will please Trump backers looking for the president-elect to follow through on vows to limit immigration.

"Kelly is a very accomplished and patriotic American… who understands the security threat to the U.S. and would bring a lot of knowledge of tactical deterrence [and] the use of physical structures to deter illegal migratory flows across the border," Dan Stein, president of the conservative Federation for American Immigration Reform, told the Washington Examiner ahead of Kelly's anticipated appointment.

If confirmed by the Senate, the former head of U.S. Southern Command would bring four decades of military experience with him to the sprawling agency, which is sure to play a major role in implementing the next administration's ambitious immigration program.

Trump chooses Kelly to lead homeland security

NOTE: Open-borders has been a Democrat party priority for at least as long as the LBJ years. So I am certain that General Kelly will have the same shield that Ike provided for General Swing.

Most Dems are questioning both his judgement and character
To TheOldSchool: Get real. Dems, and the Clintons, blame Comey for Hillary’s defeat. It is a public relations scam designed to save Comey’s reputation. It is working because Comey is being judged by both sides for interfering in an election result. There is only one thing Comey should be judged for: HILLARY WAS NOT INDICTED.

He sabotaged the election by releasing a completely unfounded letter days before election day, and for sitting on reports of Russian sanotage until right after the election was over. Comey is scum.

Get your tissue, people: no Clinton indictment.

One, I don't think there is any indictable criminal charges at all.

Two, indicting her would only help the dems in 2018 and 2002, so don't do it.

Is this the same Hoover that initiated hundreds of "black bag" jobs? Breaking and entering houses to steal documents on a whim? I could list other crimes he committed but I want to make sure this is the same Hoover.

Get your tissue, people: no Clinton indictment.
To JakeStarkey: Better still, get your party hats when she does the perp walk.
One, I don't think there is any indictable criminal charges at all.
To JakeStarkey: Yeah, right! The Clintons are not worried about it.

As I understand it from Trump’s previous statements he is going to leave any prosecutions up to AG Jeff Sessions:
The Pardon Pen Ran Out Of Ink!
Two, indicting her would only help the dems in 2018 and 2002, so don't do it.
To JakeStarkey: Sure they will if Peter Pan chairs the DNC in Never Never Land.

In fact, Hillary behind bars will give Republicans super majorities in both Houses of Congress. Candidate Trump statements about Hillary during the campaign proved that it is a winning issue.

To SavannahMann: You have the wrong Hoover. I was talking:
about J. Edgar Hoover (1895 - 1972) and Joseph McCarthy (1908 - 1957). Two men Democrats hate more than they hate Richard Nixon.
