The Western Drought, Illustrated

Starting in 2000, to 2021.

Sorry, shithead, if you can't even bother getting a link source without a paywall to read, then I must assume it isn't worth reading.

BUT I GET THE IDEA: Basically, the reason why most of the southwestern USA has scrubgrass and deserts is because it normally is more arid than in the East. Hot and Dry---- part of what makes Tornado Alley.

That's why I posted the graphics, so that you'd have a visual representation of the drought without access to the link. The link was kindly provided by myself so you'd know the source of the graphics.

Great. Now show me ten years when there WASN'T some sort of heat wave or drought in the southwest! As far as the article shows, those maps could have been of anything, heat or drought!

Here from NEO is this long report of stupid Water mismanagement.

A Sinister Agenda Behind California Water Crisis?

10.06.2021 Author: F. William Engdahl

Excerpt:

In recent months a crisis situation in the USA food supply has been growing and is about to assume alarming dimensions that could become catastrophic. Atop the existing corona pandemic lockdowns and unemployment, a looming agriculture crisis as well could tip inflation measures to cause a financial crisis as interest rates rise. The ingredients are many, but central is asevere drought in key growing states of the Dakotas and Southwest, including agriculture-intensive California. So far Washington has done disturbingly little to address the crisis and California Water Board officials have been making the crisis far worse by draining the state water reservoirs…into the ocean.

Interesting maps, but what it your point of talking about it?
So you'd be aware of how drought stricken the West is, and how the problem is only going to get worse in the coming years. You can process the reasons for said drought however you please.
It's mostly semi-arid and desert terrain....Droughts are the norm.

Nothing to see here, folks.
You are correct, there is nothing to worry over it.

Ignorance is bliss.

You have ignored THIS article in this thread I posted that makes clear you are DELIBERATELY ignorant of the issues, it is why you are looking foolish here and unaware that politics doesn't plan for droughts well in the sad incompetant state of leftist California.

No one here is disputing the current drought, but YOU are ignoring the evidence that it has been worse in the past and even far worse in the 1930's, 1950's and the 1970's, yet the region's population increased greatly over the decades in the West.

I have already defeated you anyway when I posted the NOAA's precipitation data back in post 17 that shows there is no long term trend for serious drought future as they run in small cycles.

You wrote this stupidity with 7 1/2 months in year 2021 of no precipitation data yet existing.

The assertion that we are drier in 2021 than at anytime in the past 20 years is correct and factual.

That is stupid!

Western North America Was Much Warmer And Drier With Peak Wildfire Rates When CO2 Was 265ppm

By Kenneth Richard on 12. November 2020

Excerpt:

The southwestern US was nearly a desert from about 9000 to 5000 years ago, when Holocene peaks in aridity, surface temperature, and wildfire rates occurred. Arctic sea ice was at its lowest extent of the Holocene during these years.

El Nino years are almost always shitty snow years...Drier and warmer than usual....So what?
So we have been in a La Nina since August of last year. Damn you people are stupid;

Damn, maybe biden can tax us more to send cash to Earths weather system.
Throwing around money is his solution to everything else :dunno:
Your ass sore, little buddy? Your orange turd lost an election big time. Second time in a row he got less votes than his opponent.

just curious,, do you have anything on how its supposed to be?? maybe an instruction manual on whats supposed to happen to the earth over the yrs???
cause this could be normal,,,

It is quite normal, even wetter than it was a millennium ago.
Lordy, lordy, another dumb fuck.

"Catastrophic wildfires, decreasing snowpack and dwindling water resources have become a normal part of life for residents in the western U.S. And, as a result of climate change, this may be just the beginning. A new study from Columbia University says the region has now entered into a climate-driven megadrought — possibly the worst in modern history.

Since 2000, the West has experienced one of its driest 20-year periods in history due to a combination of a dry natural cycle and the changing climate. While there have been some wet years like in 2019, overall water resources have been under unprecedented stress in the modern era.

Going back over a thousand years, there's evidence that naturally driven megadroughts have devastated the region several times in history. These droughts led to upheavals among indigenous civilizations in the Southwest."

can you prove thats not just the normal progression of life on earth???

snow/glaciers has been melting since the peak of the ice age and wildfires have been a normal thing throughout history,,,

The paper damaged its own position with their own chart:

It has according to "the team" happened at least 5 times in the last 1200 years, which means it has happened at intervals in the past, nothing to do with CO2 at all.

===

This is a provable LIE since the NOAA doesn't show it:

"The team" claims,

Climate change has boosted temperatures in this part of the West upward by 2.2 degrees Fahrenheit in the past 20 years. Since warmer air holds more moisture, extra moisture is increasingly being drawn from the ground, intensifying drying soils.

bolding mine

NOAA LINK shows it is 1.2F warmer in the past 20 years, a full 1F lower.

You got exposed yet again for not reading your own links.
