The twinkie may live.

Lol Is that a loud collective groan I hear coming from all those Twinkie hoarders trying to make a small financial windfall on Ebay?

A Judge can not deny the company the right to petition for bankruptcy. A judge can not force nor deny a company that is insolvent the right to liquidate. If during the liquidation process the proprietary recipes are sold to a secondary party, that party which purchases, is not required to hire former employees of the former employer. It should be further noted that all pension liabilities receive preferred claim status and will be addressed from proceeds derived from liquidation. The primary issue that several fail to understand is that a company can continue to operate however, the accumulation of unfunded liabilities in itself can warrant insolvency, kind of like our municipal, state employee pension funds, and federal government.

But, wait, here is an option, Obama can consider Hostess too big to fail, give it tax payer funding to survive, like GM, et.al! Long live the Ding Dong!

Ah, but we have a problem, Blomberg's New York will soon outlaw Ho Ho's, twinkee's and Ding Dong's, due to health problems which will hurt future sales, throw in California for good measure and there goes the market!

You know, you stopped the Mexicans from buying Twinkies with their EBT cards and look what happened!

Confectionery bankruptcy. You really didn't think this through.

We must continue the outsourcing of the digestion of this precious national resource.

This whole Twinkie ID thing was a flop, too. "If I have to show an ID to vote, we should have to show an ID to buy a Twinkie." Who came up with that stupid idea?

The consumption "By Americans" movement was an unmitigated disaster.

There are over two billion Chinese and Indians out there. If each one bought a pair of Twinkies, we could pay off the national debt in...uh...carry the two...add the...

In eight-six thousand years!

My advice to the Confectioners and whatever the rest of their name is Bakers' Union is to be careful. Remember what happened to the Butchers and the Candlestick Makers.

Little Debbie has been diagnosed with mid-life diabetes and is on a strict low carb diet.

It has not been saved. It is going into private mediation. Did you read the article? The fuckin Union is why they are in this mess in the first place

The union gives in, or Hostess goes. Although now, it really might be too late. Bimbo the huge mexican baked goods company has already moved in.

Exactly! Hostess cant afford their demands. That's why the backer/buyer backed out last year.
