My recon team had an experience with Cronkite at the Rex hotel in Saigon....He begged for a hop up to see the deforestation at Dak To so we were pulled off a mission to protect him. We get to the Rex at 0500 and he's passed-out drunk and won't come down. We never got an explanation much less an apology from that piece of shit.
