I watched this last night and found it hard going. Its a "modern" western with all the usual baggage that it entails. Poor lighting, poor sound, daft script and plotlines that lead nowhere.

Most of the film is shot in darkness and hence much of the action is muddled and unclear. You cant make out who is talking or who they are shooting at. I know that pre electricity rooms were darker than now but if you are telling a story then actually being able to see the action and the characters is a good start.

The latter part of the film is shot outdoors and is easier to follow. It gives an inkling of what the film could have been.

The brothers are bounty hunters working for a mysterious man called the Commodore. He never speaks in the film so we are left to speculate on the source of his power. But after a while you stop caring. The film follows their pursuit of some weird bloke who wants to set up a model community in Texas for some reason.

It seem as if the film is highly rated but you woul be better off watching Shane or any Randolph Scott film.
