1. The Left manipulates the conversation so that the questions that should be asked....aren't. You don't see any headlines along the line of "Do we want socialism?" or "Is socialism better than capitalism?"
More abstruse topics dominate....

2. The connection is left out of the conversation, the actual aim of Leftist economic policy:
Inflation/Socialism:
“… massive spending creates massive inflation; which creates an increased demand for government subsidy to afford basic products; which creates a growing dependency on the government; which creates a need for massive spending. This is exactly the expanding economic dependency model sold by socialists around the world for generations, which Barack Obama and his Biden administration promise they have now perfected in order to remove the pesky inequities always associated with unbridled capitalism. National Economic Council Director Brian Deese Claims Inflation Working Perfectly - As Designed, a Collapsing U.S. Economy Demands More Congressional Spending - The Last Refuge

They count on stupidity and lack of attention by the populace.

And....if you voted Democrat.....

....they have a valid point.

Trump spend more than than Biden and he appointed Powell.. Yet the wealthy are enjoying more increase of profits along with low interest rates and bond buying that all started under Trump. Congrats on Polichicken only seeing half the problem.

3. Taxation is associated with inflation in a most significant, but hidden way.

What is the fair rate of taxation, of taking what has been legally earned, from the earner?
  1. Who is to decide what is fair, and what is too much? Some religions suggest tithing, and government demands taxes.
    1. Joseph gathered very much grain: It seems it was customary for Pharaoh to take 10% of the grain in Egypt as a tax. Essentially, Joseph doubled the taxes over the next seven years (Genesis 41:34 mentions one-fifth, that is, 20%).
    2. That 20% figure appears again in the relationship of colonists to North America, and the English crown "....colonists were free to retain all the profits and fruits of their labor save for the crown's 20 percent share of any gold and silver discovered." "Freedom Just Around the Corner: A New American History: 1585-1828," by Walter A. McDougall, p.33

For the Democrats/Left, 100% is just fine.
The attitude of the FDR government can be seen in these words of A.B. “Happy” Chandler, a former Kentucky governor: “[A]ll of us owe the government; we owe it for everything we have—and that is the basis of obligation—and the government can take everything we have if the government needs it. . . . The government can assert its right to have all the taxes it needs for any purpose, either now or at any time in the future.”

You don't believe so???? Taxes in NY approach 62% for some earners.

Did you consider the hidden tax called inflation???

(Pssstttttt.......it's the same thing!

Both are government policy......Democrat policies.

"Dan Rostenkowski, standing next to the candidate in front of the cameras and the cheering crowd at the convention after the fateful speech, whispered to Mondale, "You've got a lot of balls, pal." According to Rostenkowski, Mondale whispered back, "Look at 'em, we're going to tax their ass off." Mondale says: "We're going to tax their ass off"
