The Right loves Big Government

The right loves big government just as much as the left does.

The right has their own programs they support like subsidies for oil drillers and farmers.

Oh, are we pretending now the GOP never claimed it wanted a central government "small enough to drown in a bathtub"?
I was just wondering when that time was where the right didnt love big govt

Leftwing creative accounting. They are counting stuff like "greenhouse gas emissions," which is pure invention. No one can demonstrate there is any cost associated with producing CO2. In fact, CO2 is beneficial to life on the planet.

Try citing a credible source rather than some crank environmental site.

Not so much as a peep of complaint from the Trumptards when he did that.
Not true. I complained like crazy. Of course, for every dollar of Trump's increased military spending, the Dims demanded and got $5 of increased social spending. So about $4 trillion of that went to Dim social programs.

There was a time when they didn’t.

But that was before their primary imperatives were “owning the libs” and culture wars 24/7.

Is the anti-vaccine, anti-government alarmist bent on the American right here to stay? And if so, at what magnitude?

Certainly cafeteria libertarianism is nothing new. It’s been a dozen years since members of the Tea Party movement expressed revolutionary zeal in opposing Obamacare but bitterly rejected even modest changes to shore up Medicare. It’s been 20 years that situational defenders of liberty have railed against the invasiveness of the TSA but supported policing initiatives like “stop and frisk.”

So maybe we shouldn’t be so surprised that many of the same people who are now the most intensely opposed to vaccines and vaccine mandates come from the same nationalist wing of the right that wants to use government compulsion for its own causes. Whether it’s banning pornography, controlling online speech, or centrally planning an economy oriented toward manufacturing, the subscript on the Gadsden flags of the anti-vaxx protests should say “but maybe tread on thee.”

Question, just to start with picked 2 from your list. Fewer regulations what regs would that be?
& explain by use of the constitution how religion is not free. Could be an interesting discussion.
  • Biden has already signed into law requiring punitive taxes against domestic mining companies
  • Preventing churches from gathering for fellowship and worship
  • Forcing Catholic church funded schools to provide health insurance that pays for BC pills
  • Trying to take away church's tax-free status if they ever mention politics in services (only in white churches.....black churches specialize in telling their parish to vote for Democrats)
  • Mandating vaccines for active-duty military and federal employees
  • Requiring that everyone must wear a worthless mask in any federal vacility
  • Requiring that all contractors and sub-contractors provide full coverage health insurance to employees
  • Issuing warnings against prescriptions of drugs that are not approved by the CDC such as ivermectin, which amounts to a ban or an implied threat from the feds

Ummm......not really, vaccinated are high in numbers in hospitals around the world. Same where I live also.
All I can say is what my son at the ER tells me is true for Jackson, which just happens (maybe by coincidence) to be what the main stream is still reporting. I can't really honestly say about TN, as TN went black on current covid news. We just don't get the scorn of places like Florida, probably because our elected leader are more conservatively low-key, instead of cramming it down people's throats, while two of them try to run for president. Couple that with their much larger population, and it means people like us get to skate the national abuse of the main stream media and live our relatively quiet lives, mostly left the fk alone.

ok but the pro vaxers for this one, are saying they are anti-vaxers and thats not true...they are anti this vaccine...there is a difference...
OK. I realize some nuts are just against all vaccines, but nobody cares right now if your kid didn't get a whooping cough shot or something. When people say anti-vaxxers, right now they are deriding the people against the covid vaccines as those are the vaccines that affect the pandemic, the vaccines that will in most cases reduce severity of covid infection or possibly prevent some.
