Trumpery is in steep decline, the Loser having worked his elective magic in 2018, 2020, and 2022 (the last midterm a Trump-driven, serious disappointment for the GOP) - and Trumped Republicans have finally overcome the irrational aversion to self-governance that the Loser had dictated to the dupes, the democratic ballot again emerging as preferable to goon attacks on Congress, fake elector schemes, intimidation of Republican governors and secretaries of state, and threats to poll workers as the way to win.

The positive sign for Democrats is the Groundhog Day, vendetta-driven, diehard Trumpers in Congress who will fester in the 2020 defeat forever rather than refocus on the future - the place where voters will be living and voting.

So you prefer a government and law enforcement agencies lie to you about everything? That's nice shill. That is really what you are saying.

We need two sane parties, operating within reality, to keep the other in check.

The Dems are plenty bad enough, but this country needs the GQP to marginalize its loons ASAP. Life is not a talk radio show. Hopefully the mid terms taught them something. Not holding my breath, of course.

The loons who want election integrity, secure borders, and energy independence? Those loons?

Yes, the loons who have so spectacularly open-overcompensated on those issues due to the hyperbolic, paranoid manipulation that controls them.

You're not going to understand that. I don't care.
Are you serious? That describes you morons to a T. Over 8 years of lies, intimidation, and now openly fascist treatment of Americans and you alright with all of it. Stupid hack.

For the record, mac is a closet brown shirt.

Soon it will be PC to "come out of the closet", but till then, just pretend.

The most likely prospect for stagnancy on the horizon appears to be an impotent Speaker who will be bullied by the flamers into empowering star chamber pots in a volley of piddling vendettas rather than competent governance.

Imagine it were otherwise:

"I shall transcend petty politics, and serve the nation by addressing an enduring,
desperate need: comprehensive immigration reform, a chronic crisis woefully neglected
and exploited by prior Congresses that deemed taking responsibility politically
disadvantageous. Domestic human trafficking as a partisan weapon
is not what either human decency or patriotism are about.
Americans are better than that."

Never ceases to amuse me how deranged moonbat freaks like you, who'd never ever vote republican, profess to care so much about the party.

I do not share your preference, nor your fawning veneration of Anus Mouth.

I had hoped that I had made that clear.

Please pay attention.

What do you imagine will be the legislative priorities for the 118th Congress's leadership?

Says the party of the dinosaur

What innovative legislation do you expect from the Republican-controlled Congress?
Nothing. We have a bunch of corrupt assholes, just not as many as your party. There are patriots in Congress, just not enough.

Not exactly.

It’s important to remember that Trump is a product of the GOP and conservativism – a product of the right’s anti-democratic, illiberal neo-fascism, ignorance, fear, bigotry, anti-immigrant nativism, and hate.

Indeed, white grievance politics and racist replacement theory are alive and well – that Trump himself may be losing influence over the party doesn’t change who and what Republicans are.
