“Ideologies are substitutes for true knowledge, and ideologues are always dangerous when they come to power, because a simple-minded I-know-it-all approach is no match for the complexity of existence.” Jordon Peterson

People are simply not smart enough in mass to comprehend the complexities of life, let alone anyone person on the planet.

Therefore, adopting ideologies and demagoguery is either a conscience or unconscious admission that we need answers from those that purport to have them because we know that we are incapable of solutions.

This is why man continues to demand a "king" or "Shepherd", and why those that we choose to govern over us continually let us down, however,, we never learn from it.

Then again, perhaps it is more comforting believing the lie than the alternative which is realizing man is too deficient to govern his fellow man adequately for any length of time.

Oh well, on to the next utopia.

What is your utopia?

A better organization of the government. The erroneous organization, lack of separation and subsequent segregation of issues, causes the partisan strategery and disinformation that trickles down causing the social disorder, that then cycles back in the elections; and we get people like Trump and Biden, and Hillary Clinton.

“Of course, my socialist colleagues and I weren’t out to hurt anyone – quite the reverse. We were out to improve things – but we were going to start with other people. I came to see the temptation in this logic, the obvious flaw, the danger – but could also see that it did not exclusively characterize socialism. Anyone who was out to change the world by changing others was to be regarded with suspicion. The temptations of such a position were too great to be resisted.”

I don't understand why so many people have such a dysfunctional relationship with their own ignorance. We're all ignorant. We all know only a tiny bit of what there is to know. I guess some people are desperate for the sense of control that comes with believing you have it all figured out.

Politics is the art of division. It is pitting one group against another in the hopes of having a leg up on your fellow man. This requires disinformation to succeed in politics.

After all, if we knew all politicians would treat us equally and fairly, who would show them support, who would vote, who would send them their money?

Politics is all about dividing and conquering and then securing power, with the caveat of trying to do some good along the way to justify their authority and position.

After all, even Al Capone ran soup kitchens. It gave him legitimacy. The only question becomes, how much bad is enough reason to forcibly take away your power away in relation to the "good" you do.

“We must each adopt as much responsibility as possible for individual life, society and the world. We must each tell the truth and repair what is in disrepair and break down and recreate what is old and outdated. It is in this manner that we can and must reduce the suffering that poisons the world. It’s asking a lot. It’s asking for everything.”
― Jordan B. Peterson, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

“Did what I want happen? No. Then my aim or my methods were wrong. I still have something to learn.” That is the voice of authenticity. “Did what I want happen? No. Then the world is unfair. People are jealous, and too stupid to understand. It is the fault of something or someone else.” That is the voice of inauthenticity.”
― Jordan B. Peterson, 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos

Politicians are incapable of authenticity by their very nature.
