I think the reason PEOPLE lie, is because humans are emotional creatures. The left lies as much as a right.

Sales, it's a perfectly legitimate job, going around selling to people, those who do the best at it, earn the most money, are those who are able to manipulate people's emotions the most.

Power has always been about manipulating people to get what they want. Nothing has changed. The systems has changed, but the basis behind it is the same.

With this in mind you have to look at your systems. Different systems will work better (depending on what you think "better" is).

For me "better" is when you have different view points with their own representation in parliament/Congress.

The German system has Proportional Representation with a 5% cut off. They usually have 5 political parties representing five different types of people.

Denmark has PR with a 2% cut off, with 10 political parties.

The US has a system that benefits those with the money, those willing to lie, those who don't represent those who are voting for them.

You want less lying, you want more parties to represent the different people of a country, then PR is the way forwards.

But obviously those in control don't want PR. They like screwing people over.

It looks to me like they just believe everything they're told in their universe, and they no longer have the fundamental human curiosity required to check it out and honestly question or challenge it. All politicians suck , afaik. But what you say is the exact opposite from what I see, when it comes to POLITICS.

Conservatives that I know and respect consistently favor freedom of individual choice over forced mandates of any kind. There are a few toss up issues, like the abortion issue: where many conservatives favor the freedom and choice of the un-born child's natural rights, and almost equally many conservatives favor the choice of the mother. This is why Roe V. Wade stood for so long without much challenge.

Any time there is a new tax or a new law that eats away at natural freedoms, it's been put in place by Democrats. Liberal Democrats claim to want to take from the rich and give to the poor, but when in fact what happens is they take from the rich and line their own pockets so they can keep promoting their socialist agenda. Now don't get me wrong, some sort of assistance for the poor is a good thing that I personally support because it's the Christian way. The level of theft the Democrats are pushing is a WHOLE different story, and is clearly a violation of human natural rights to keep possess and enjoy the bounty of their own labor.
