Everyone should be aghast and infuriated at the sort of indoctrination government schools enforce.
Should be.....

But just using the term 'indoctrination' lacks the impact it should produce without concrete examples....and a birthday today provides such an example.

Eric Blair, better known as George Orwell, warned all about communism, Leftism, in "1984," which should be taught to the exclusion of much of the socialism/communism taught in our schools.

In it we find
"Emmanuel Goldstein is a fictional character in George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. He is the principal enemy of the state according to the Party of the totalitarian Oceania.
1585489102170.png

Goldstein is always the subject of the "Two Minutes Hate", a daily programme beginning at 11:00 a.m. at which an image of Goldstein is shown on the telescreen and subjected to extreme contempt. "

What the Left truly hates is success, business success and capitalism.
This has been true since the 32nd President, a failed businessman himself, who did everything he could to demonize successful ones.

Today's Emmanuel Goldstein is reviled by the Left....in my town, NYC, Democrat mayors have forbidden his organization to exist.

Sam Walton, in full Samuel Moore Walton, (born March 29, 1918, Kingfisher, Oklahoma, U.S.—died April 5, 1992, Little Rock, Arkansas), American retail magnate who founded Walmart in 1962 and developed it, by 1990, into the largest retail sales chain in the United States.

Good work, Sam,.....and Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday, Sam!

"New York City is brimming with big box stores, Target (TGT) - Get Report , Sears' (SHLD) Kmart and Best Buy (BBY) - Get Report , to name a few. But Walmart (WMT) - Get Report , the world's biggest retailer, still can't get traction in New York City, which is welcoming its third Target store to Manhattan this October.

Seemingly, there's no love for Walmart in the Big Apple: Mayor Bill De Blasio, the United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW), the union covering grocery workers, and some local residents continue to oppose having a Walmart in their neighborhoods."

Other stores have copied Walmart's business model....

Speaking of 'business models'.....

Today is the birthday of someone whose 'business model' the Democrat Party has copied.....

Lavrenty Beria, in full Lavrenty Pavlovich Beria, Beria also spelled Beriya, (born March 29 [March 17, Old Style], 1899, Merkheuli, Russian Empire [now in Georgia]—died December 23, 1953, Moscow, Russia, U.S.S.R.), director of the Soviet secret police who played a major role in the purges of Joseph Stalin’s opponents.

Beria would find an enemy of Stalin, and 'prove him guilty'....guilty or not.

The Democrats operate via the same doctrines as their predecessors, the Bolsheviks.

Lavrentiy Beria, the most ruthless and longest-serving secret police chief in Joseph Stalin’s reign of terror in Russia and Eastern Europe, bragged that he could prove criminal conduct on anyone, even the innocent.

“Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime” was Beria’s infamous boast.

That was the 'business model' used against Trump for three years.

It is a modern day miracle that they failed to accomplish their aim.

Here's another thing about Beria. Libs brought him in as the great guy who was going to clean up the USSR. He was supposed to be their Jim Comey, a real "straight arrow" to replace Nick Yezhov. Yezhov was a lib too, and no prize, but he was tremendous compared to Beria.

I doubt we have the time or the space to catalog all of the mistakes Liberals/Progressives are responsible for.

Also Sam, created the Sam's warehouse so small businesses could use that store for their business needs. They open real early 6:00am, so owners can get in and out real quick, without the daily mobs that just want a deal because the store opens at 10;00am for just the consumer. This pissed off the liberals because since they hated everything Walmart, they wanted a warehouse of their own, so Costco was founded by a flamer(who has made obscene profits, go figure) providing the same type merchandise that Sam's does. But Costco hates small business because Costco opens at 10:00am for just consumers, thus making sure the small businessman gets the shaft at Costco. Next time you decide to go into that liberal bastion of consumption, realize if Sam's is just a little farther away, you will be helping America, by not buying at a liberal store.

Will all the foods and medications/vaccinations allocated at Walmart Human Centers be USA made ?

Is this a suggestion that you won't buy any auto that isn't made with 100% 'Made In USA' parts?

Why do progressives hate Walmart for low prices and its 3% profit margin but love high-priced Apple and its 24% profit margin?

In a paper, “Walmart: A Progressive Success Story,” Furman cited estimates that Walmart, by driving down prices, saved the typical American family more than $2,300 annually. That was about the same amount that a family on food stamps then received from the federal government. For Profit, Anti-Poverty

1. "If WalMart Jobs Are So Terrible, Then Why Do So Many People Want One?

2. If we listen to some of the activists on the WalMart issue then we’re told that the jobs at the store are just terrible. The pay, the conditions are appalling, which leaves us with the mysterious question of why do so many people seem to want a job at WalMart?

3. There’s a lot of rhetoric, especially from the left, that is very dismissive of working at Walmart. Go the Wikipedia entry for “Criticism of Walmart” and you’ll find references to the following criticisms of being a Walmart employee:

4.... low wages, poor working conditions, being forced to work off the clock, being denied overtime pay, not being allowed to take breaks, violations of child labor laws, instances of minors working too late, during school hours, or for too many hours in a day, labor racketeering crimes, sexual discrimination, limiting or eliminating health care benefits, poorly-run and understaffed stores, etc.

5. – it must be a pretty terrible place to work, right? But then why do so many people actually want to work for the retail giant, based on the huge number of applications that Walmart receives every time it opens a new store?

6. ... the new Washington D.C. stores received 23,000 applications for only 600 positions.

That’s a multiple of the number of applications there are for each and every place at Harvard.

So, if the jobs are so terrible then why is it that so many people want to have one of these terrible jobs?

7. ... WalMart jobs are better than one or all of those alternatives. This is revealed preferences in action: that people apply for the jobs means that they want them.

8. [It's an economic fact:] those offering the best opportunities and working conditions will get the workers and those offering bad conditions and/or pay will find that they have to improve them in order to retain their workforce.

9. ... what is the current constraint on people setting up in business....the bureaucratic nonsense that surrounds gaining all of the necessary permits and licenses discourages many would-be entrepreneurs from even starting.

10. Reduce that regulatory burden and we’ll see more new businesses starting and thus, through the above process, conditions will get better for all workers."

"Want" vs."need". Need always wins ! I have a couple of geezer buddies who work for them. They share a house within walking distance and, between them, earn close to three grand a month.AC, lunch room, discounts for employees, low stress. It beats tents and trotlines by far

IGA nearby offers $120 a month meal plans for geezers. One meal...nice meal. Pork chop, chicken, macaroni, beans, tater salad....OR A gut filling breakfast or lunch of things simiar to supper....meatloaf,ribz, smooshy taters, green beans, cole slaw, roll.
As good or better than the meatheads in costume often get while delivering freedumb and maintaining poppy fields

Very true!!

"The big difference between entities that serve us well and those who do not lies in what motivates them. Wal-Mart and millions of other businesses are profit-motivated whereas government schools, USPS and state motor vehicle departments are not.

In the market, when a firm fails to please its customers and fails to earn a profit, it goes bankrupt, making those resources available to another that might do better. That's unless government steps in to bail it out. Bailouts send the message to continue doing a poor job of pleasing customers and husbanding resources. Government-owned nonprofit entities are immune to the ruthless market discipline of being forced to please customers. The same can be said of businesses that receive government subsidies.

The ruthlessness of the market discipline, which forces firms to please customers and thereby earn profits, goes a long way toward explaining hostility toward free market capitalism."

O.K.

Have to admit.

Not a fan of WalMart. I call it Val-De-Mart.

Why ?

The list goes on and on.

But it generally starts with the way they deal with suppliers. I have some good friends who chose not to do business with them because of that.
