Our political process has been in a failed state for some years. There is no longer civil debate and reasoned laws based upon our Constitution. Reeducation and deprogramming don't work. The Communist Vietnamese tried it on some friends of mine that flew for the USAF during the war. They had them locked up for six years and couldn't change their minds.

Now for Xiden, they only ask softball questions and don't mind that Joe never does a real presser.
High-Tech is silencing the opposition for Xiden, Parler is shut-down and Republicans are being frozen out of all media. Just like Communist Russia.
You keep forgetting that Trump's behaviour for the entire four years was reeling from one manufactured crisis to another. He started by firing Comey over the Russia Investigation, and instituting a Muslin ban. The Muslin ban created chaos at airports throughout the USA as people with valid visas were denied entry, and many residents could not get home.
The ban was simply announced one Friday afternoon, as the government offices closed for the weekend. There were no instructions of guidance to those working in customs or immigration in the airport. No training or job memos.
The MSM gave you facts and reasonable criticism of Trump's policies, and missteps. Instead of saying "Fair enough, but we agree with his policies because", you screamed "FAKE NEWS". I get that many of the things that Trump was doing were really indefensible.
The entire Muslim ban, was sprung on an unsuspecting nation on a Friday afternoon, without no prior warning, roll out period, or time for those legally allowed to be in the USA to return home. It was an exercise of an inexperience White House to test the limits of its authority, and to to see what would happen by Monday. It caused chaos not just at airports in the USA, but in travel hubs around the world as people didn't know whether they would allowed in when they landed.
Even if you agreed with the idea of the ban, the roll out was a disaster. Neither DHS, which is responsible for airport security, nor Customs and Immigration had no prior warning of the ban, and no information on who was or was not allowed in. An experienced Administration would have consulted with both departments as to what time frame they would need to get prepare and train staff and get ready to implement the EO. Airport staff needed to be instructed on who was allowed in, and from where, i.e. people who already had green cards or visas, or were already permanent residents. American residents needed time to get home before the ban took effect.
None of that happened. The King issued an order and expected it to be obeyed. Trump simpled dropped an EO that people from these countries should not be allowed in and the DHS workers, in the absence of any detail, training or information, followed that directive in whatever manner they or their supervisors thought appropriate. People got off planes and couldn't leave the airports. Business people, residents, citizens - thousands of them.
Trump called all criticism of this policy, its implementation and the resulting chaos an "attack on the security of our borders". He accepted no responsibility for the resulting chaos at all, and called all offered suggestions on how to improve the process "weak" and in favour of "open borders". But there was never any dialogue on how to improve his policies, to make them more effective, less chaotic, or less expensive.
I'm using the Muslim ban for a reason. It set the template for all Trump's future actions, the reactions to the problems he created, and the results of such criticism. I've also deliberately avoided all comment on the not inconsiderable First Amendment implications of banning people on the basis of their religion, or the wisdom of doing so. Just the process implications of the manner in which the EO was put into place.
Trump complained bitterly at his rallies about how he was "attacked" for trying to keep the American people safe. Instead of accepting the criticism that his EO was badly done, and resulted in total chaos and dysnfunction at every international airport in the nation, Trump called such criticism an "attack" and "fake news".
Every day was a fresh outrage. Top level staffers were fired at the rate of one every 10 days for the first year. Trump blamed "Democrats" for his failure to fill top level jobs in his cabinet and Executive level positions, but the bald fact is that Trump was very slow to hire, many of his pick failed the security clearance tests, and were completely unqualified for the jobs to which they were appointed. Dr. Carson might have made a brilliant Surgeon General, but as HUD Secretary, he's been a disaster, and he's probably the best of a bad lot of Cabinet picks outside of State or Defence.
The press is not the President's cheerleader. The Constitutionally mandated duty is to inform the public, and criticize the President's decisions. The thing Conservatives here constantly say is that the press didn't treat Obama the same way they treat Trump. Yeah, they did. But when the press asked questions of Obama and his staff, Obama answered their questions honestly, to the best of their ability, without calling them names, questioning their motives or their integrity, and gave assurances on criticism and questions.
Trump came out and told the press whatever he wanted his voters to hear, and then attacked the press for anything that questioned his policies, or the false information he had just imparted. He even used faked videos to try and claim Jim Accosta had attacked an intern in an effort to stop his questions.

Joe Biden hasn't once suggested ingesting bleach, or getting ultra violet light inside you. He hasn't pushed false cures which turned out to kill people.
When Biden says stupid shit, he laughs about it, corrects it and moves on. When Trump says or does stupid shit, he attacks the "fake news" and first denies he said it, then doubles down on the idiocy, or says it's a joke and refuses to move on, complaining about it endlessly in his daily tweets, or his endless rallies, as an example of the fake news attacks he endures daily.
