The problem with homosexuality and Christianity is you have to choose one or the other

If you don't like it, don't join. Yet, they go a step further and attempt to attack Christianity in culture and lamblast it as "hateful" and "bigoted"...

They are the ones instigating things... we're just sitting here minding our own business honestly.
It is an interesting dilemma. The Christian ideal is to strive for the perfection of God. Various groups call on Christians to be tolerant of this, that, and the other. The etymology of 'tolerant' is to 'endure pain'. There are groups who want to bring pain to Christianity with the demand Christians endure the pain.

'Bigot' originally meant a religious hypocrite. If Christians are to work towards perfection, while accepting imperfect concepts/behaviors, then we truly are hypocrites as we have stopped pointing towards perfection and the ideal.

Christians are not perfect. We are simply a community who believes in perfection and therefore want to be free to strive for it. Why the wish to burden us with the pain of settling for something outside the ideal of perfection. The Narrow Way is difficult enough on its own.

I think in society non-believers get caught in the whole "high and mighty" issue... sadly, there are proud, self-rightous Christians who aren't contained by any major ideology running around saying horrendously vile things, pointing fingers, condemning, etc.

However, the majority of Catholics pray for those in peril, sacrifice without being recognized, and it shows through what the Catholic church provides to the world. I'd challenge any atheist organization to produce 1/100th of what the Catholic church provides.

No. I find the Catholic Church will ALWAYS compromise with sin for "growth" in numbers. They've always incorporated paganism in their teachings (Easter, Christmas, Sunday worship etc)
Not quite. Pope Gregory, a thousand years before Protestantism divided the church, faced the problem of converting the people of other nations. This pope had no wish to use force. Instead, he advised the Augustine monks to build onto the beliefs of what was already there. Christian beliefs were celebrated side-by-side with older Celtic beliefs (one example) until slowly, over time, the Christian celebrations replaced (instead of 'incorporated') what Celts were celebrating. The celebration of the risen Christ replaced the celebration of Oestre, the goddess of Spring. The Anglo-Saxon calendar became Christianized, replacing the pre-Christian holidays with Christian holidays, in their totality without incorporating anything from the more ancient celebrations (other than the name 'Easter').

The Catholic Church allowed the new gentile converts to bring Saturnalia into that church as long as Semiramis was worshipped as "Mary" and her son Horus was worshipped as Jesus. Christmas is a purely pagan festival. Similarly Ishtar became Easter.

The Catholic Church has replaced GOD'S Annual HOLY Days with pagan festivals. They replaced GOD'S uth Day Sabbath with SUNday worship.

That Church is guilty of the sin of MIXTURES. God clearly told HIS PEOPLE, "You shall not worship the Lord Your God as the nations around you worship their gods.". Yet, they do.

Shrug. Twist if you wish, but present day celebrations and beliefs favor the sources I studied, not what you are proposing.

I was at an author event and a lesbian read to us all the passages of the Bible that explicitly condemn homosexuality.
How many passages are there that specifically say that?
It made me realize that one who lives the homosexual lifestyle must reject Christianity or must, at the very least, admit he is a sinner in need of forgiveness.
Homosexuality is a form of love regardless of religion. You don’t agree but that’s ok.
It won’t harm any religion if it has s homo believing in god not should that exclude them from sacraments.
But it seems that many homosexuals are unwilling to do either.
That’s because there’s no law saying they have to. Lots of religious bigots are the problem.
They demand Christian churches go against explicit Biblical teachings and accept homosexuality. This is creating a crisis that is affecting all the Christian churches.
There attendance at church demands nothing of the sort. I’ve never witnessed them protesting churches make those demands. How about the homos that currently go to church and you don’t know their habits? Does that affect you?

My prediction is this: Soon, every Christian church except the Catholic Church will cave to the homosexuals.
The Catholic Church have a shocking history of homosexuality and paedophilia and shouldn’t be pointing at others with that happening as we speak.
Religion has been a magnet for kiddy fiddlers since time began. Homos are not noted for that.
