Bette Midler To Star As Mae West In HBO Movie

That should be an interesting movie for younger folks who never heard of Mae West. She was one funny lady.

To strollingbones: I was in my pre-teens when I first saw Mae West movies in the early 1940s. I didn’t know the difference between a double entendre and a double decker sandwich, but she cracked me up. My favorite line: “Beulah, peel me a grape.” That would be a great title for the Bette Midler movie.
