Main Points -
1) We fund and spearhead NATO and the UN
2) US Military bases serve as a deterent to war
3) Japan, Korea, & others do not militarize because of us
4) We literally are going into debt for the sake of others
5) The US is the reason for free trade/low prices across the seas And I've got to say, things like AFRICOM, are only the beginning!

USA military needs to be slashed by 2/3
A complete waste of $$ and they serve zero purpose but to terrorize weaker nations
We must maintain special forces and Air Force
Slash the worthless navy and Army

hahhahahahaahhaahaha
no, they don't terrorize
......you obviously don't know much about the military/history/etc---you need the groundpounders and the Navy

Even through we never agree on much ?? I think we agree that we must end these illegal US wars and gut the military

I don’t want to gut the military
But I think we can reduce our role and put more of the burden on our allies.
The “mission” of our forces is too broad and we need to take more of a secondary role in some theaters

And what if those allies refuse to take on more of a burden? Those obligations won't just disappear because someone refuses to take them up .

Odd that a poster would feel the need to justify the U.S. Military in the 21st century when the U.S. Military gave so much in the 20th century to save the world from despots.
