Today, 'Liberal' is synonymous with "Democrat."

96% of 'em vote that way.


These are not the classical liberals you claim they are.....these are Leftists who oppose free speech, the second amendment, and the free practice of one’s religion.

What they mean I think is that there is nothing liberal in modern day 'liberalism'. It is more authoritarian, discriminatory, hypercritical, hypocritical and disrespects basic inalienable rights than anything old guard conservatives ever demonstrated.

My leftist friend explained that it was cruel to send the illegals to Martha's Vineyard where hotel rooms can be $1000/night. (I don't know about the cost of hotel rooms in Martha's Vineyard but that was the number she cited.)

I explained that these people weren't being sent there to be on vacation but Martha's Vineyard is a self-proclaimed sanctuary for illegal migrants and says all are welcome there. They all volunteered to go there and signed documents certifying that before they got on the plane. They were let out at Martha's Vineyard's one homeless shelter location and are on video saying they were happy to be there.

Had they been white--MV is overwhelmingly white--I'm pretty sure they would have been allowed to stay and would have been offered one of several unskilled labor jobs open on the island or trained to be forklift operators or whatever. But they were brown people and they couldn't get rid of them fast enough. Engaged 125!!! national guard members to assist with 'moving' (can we say evicting) 50 or 52 migrants from the island.
