Most working people pay "payroll taxes". They never see the money, it's taken out of their checks before they get their checks. It makes it hard for working people to cheat on their taxes.

A self employed person, like a plumber, would pay "income tax". A lot of them pay in one lump sum once per year.

For one self employed people do pay payroll taxes.

rigged the tax code? That tax code can be used by anyone, which i started doing when i was over in Saudi Arabia, paying no state or federal income taxes for 5 1/2 year. Also i had 10 thousand dollars of personal tax credits, so took my home depot stock and burned off 10,000 dollars of taxes from the sale of stock in Decmember, and then bought it back in January.

Paying your fair share is what stupid people do, because they didnt take the time to learn all the ins and outs of the tax code...
