The Left's Enduring Charlottesville Lie
The Left's Enduring Charlottesville Lie | Dan O'Donnell | News/Talk 1130 WISN

QUOTE: Whenever Democrats want to blame President Trump for an act of white supremacist violence such as the horrific attack in New Zealand or the imagined attack on Jussie Smollett in Chicago, they and their allies in the national news media invariably cite his statements in the wake of the deadly riot in Charlottesville, Virginia.

"President Trump called white supremacists 'very fine people!'" they shriek.
Only he didn't. He actually said the exact opposite.

  • We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides. It's been going on for a long time in our country. Not Donald Trump, not Barack Obama, this has been going on for a long, long time. It has no place in America. What is vital now is a swift restoration of law and order and the protection of innocent lives. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society. And no child should ever be afraid to go outside and play or be with their parents and have a good time.

The President's inclusion of the phrase "on many sides" immediately set off a media feeding frenzy. Even though violent members of Antifa had joined with those peacefully protesting the "Unite the Right" rally and had sparked physical altercations with the white supremacists attending the rally, Trump critics immediately pounced on what they considered to be equivocation........

No he didn't, and it was started by Obama and Biden supporters....how odd.

I love it. We watch stuff happen in real time. We see and heard Trump say these things. And then I come here and fools like you deny it ever happened. We post the videos. And you fools still say "He never mocked the disabled reporter". "He never called NAZI white Supremacists 'good people'".

Trump couldn't even disavow the Proud Boys. I suppose you'll try to tell that never happened too.

"The “counter protesters” were the antagonists in this clash. They attempted to block the lawful entry of the supremacists into the park. They disrupted the alt-right protest. As I suggested above, was an anti-abortion group to block women from entering an abortion clinic, there would be a rapid police response. In this case, because the group with the law on its side is so hated (the white supremacists), none was coming."

“Since the weekend, witnesses have told us that in fact, both sides were antagonizing for a fight,” NBC’s Tom Costello says. Later, the report shows a clip of Trump’s Tuesday press conference in which he said, “What about the alt-left? What about the fact that they came charging…with clubs in their hands, swinging clubs?” Costello’s narration continues, “In fact, that’s true. Witnesses tell NBC News there were people on both sides who seemed ready for a fight and some counter-protesters were armed with clubs, some with pepper spray.”
The BBC published a similar look at the violence in Charlottesville and what Trump said about it. BBC reporter Joel Gunter, who was there Saturday, said, “The President said that the violence on Saturday was perpetrated by both sides.” After playing a clip of Trump’s press conference, Gunter continued, “Trump is right. There was violence on both sides. I saw counter-protesters throw bottles, rocks and paint and clash with the white supremacists. Both sides sprayed pepper spray.”
"Both sides employed violence. Both sides."

Floppingaces.net. You have such a plethora of bullshit sources, Easy65. The opinion of a right wing radical who can't get published by a legitimate source. If these people had any facts or truth, they wouldn't be posting on the internet for trolls like you.

These "sources" have even less credibility than you do. When you can't find ONE legitimate source to back up your lies, you're on REALLY shaky ground. The people who were arrested were the ones who did the killing and the beating. 35 RIGHT WING NAZIS were arrested. How many on the right were hospitalized? How many died?

How many on the left were arrested? That's the real tale. The club wielding Nazis and white supremacists are the guys who got arrested. The left wing protestors are the people they beat up and killed.

The transcripts are available from many sources. Your denial of what he said is not credible.

That you dems often don't arrest violent lefty protestors, has been well documented. Your pretense of not knowing that, is not credible.

Why do you support such an obvious lie?

Nice Gish galloping logical fallacy.

Trump certainly DID mock that reporter. But he did not mock his HANDICAP but him as a person. And "reporters" are not innocent bystanders. They are generally political players who are fair game.

That you people lie about that, supports the threads op and conclusion, ie that you people are vile liars.

(i added the vile. I don't think the op would mind)

It is the Gish Gallop Logical Fallacy, to throw out a bucket full of weak ass shit points, knowing or hoping that no one can refute them all, and if they try, it will be a big mess that most people won't read into.

Thus people see the accusations, and most never see any rebuttal, thus creating the ILLUSION of credibility to the accusations.

It is the type of tactic one uses, when one knows that they are lying.

He didn't mock the disabled reporter, the guy that started Walkaway even said that was how he saw how full of shit the left was.
Trump didn't call NAZI White supremacists good people....show me the video of him doing that.
One of the guys that orginzied it is supporting Biden, the other leader was an Obama supporter, learn the facts.
And why should he disavow the Proud Boys?

it's just a list of talking points, that's all she has.

DING1 DING! DING! We have a winner folks. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.
Hey she didnt refute anything what a shock...she cant......she is lakhota bad...maybe worse.

A year later and Democrats still spread this stupid lie

It was a white supremacy rally.

Trump declared some of them to be very fine people

As we enter the 48th year of the Prog induced Charlottesville agenda we see progress being made. The love shown in the hundreds and hundreds of protests in Prog controlled cities over the last several months shows the distinct differenced from the evil and no good white supremacists and the totally good and humble people peacefully protesting in all environs.

I bring this up all the time with these people. The vast majority just stone wall. Some retreat to the bullshit "codewords" defense.

Like TWO, have admitted that they were wrong. BUT, they still insist that there is so much other evidence that the President or the gop or the whatever are wacism, that it doesn't change anything.

They are all brainwashed zealots.

I love it when Trump Cult leaders on this board post about the left being brainwashed zealots. Corell joined this board in 2015, and has over 68,000 posts, in 5.5 years. 12,000 posts per year. All of them slavishly praising Trump and every piece of shit spewing from his mouth.

I joined in December of 2012 - less than 8 years ago and I have 25,000 posts, and I think I spend WAY too much time here. I've had a LOT more posts than normal over the past 6 months because quarantine. You have 4 times as many posts as I do on a daily basis, but I'm the "brainwashed zealot", and you're not.
