This is so sad. I'm an avid boater and have been using Evinrude engines since my father had them. As a kid I was pulled for years on my ski bob behind an Evinrude that never let us down. To this day the most reliable outboard we ever owned, and still own.

And what's worse is workers who were furloughed received an automated call at their homes telling them they were laid off. Ole Evinrude would be turning over in his grave.

They were talking about it on the Lake Powell message board. Bad deal. I'm new to boating and I bought a Honda but there are a lot of the old timers that wouldn't have anything but an Evinrude.
