The democrat party does not want cheap, plentiful, reliable energy......anyone who thinks that they want those things hasn't paid attention to the democrat party.

The democrats know that solar and wind will never generate enough energy, and that is their goal. They believe that humans are overpopulating the planet, damaging the planet, and that too many people are too hard to control.

So...in order to reduce the population, stop the damage and make people easier to control....you limit how much energy people have....this limits family size, property ownership, location of populations, mobility of those populations....

So the goal is to make energy massively expensive, limit access to it, and make it unreliable.......

That is the goal. If you understand that, then what they do makes complete sense.

That’s hilarious. We already have the biggest fusion nuclear reactor pumping out more energy every hour to earth, then we can use an entire year. Why would you want to make dirty overpriced fission reactors when one is available now. The sun is the most reliable nuclear reactor there is.

And yet, every new commercial project around here gets solar panel because it's deemed cost effective. The Law does not say it has to be done like in CA. It's done because the heating and cooling of the building a net zero. Businesses do what is good for themselves.

Regardless of the source of energy, we're putting money into "a bag with holes in it".

Subsidized is just another factor in the economics of it. Even the VA is getting it. They built an overhead ceiling for their parking area. It didn't cost that much more to replace the normal roof covering with solar sales. Before the early 1970s, the VA Hospital provided their own Coal fired electricity. 30 years later, they are now providing their own Electricity while selling the excess back to the Power company. This was done without being subsidized by the State. Even it there were subsidizing, it just made good sense.

BTW, we don't use anything other than completely renewable energy for electricity around here. We have shut down the coal fired plants all except one. The way it's done for shutdown, an alternate electricity source must be present before the shutdown. Right now, the Craig Coal Fired has 3 turbines with only one running. And that is progged to be shut down by 2025. Colorado has been working in this direction for the last 50 years. It's not done over night and it's still ongoing.
