Atmospheric pressure is a function of the total mass of the atmosphere -- it does not track surface temperature in any direct, short-term, measurable way. The warming we're documenting is happening within the existing atmospheric mass, driven by the radiative properties of its composition, not by adding or subtracting bulk air. Pointing at stable sea-level pressure as a refutation of warming is like pointing at a stable weight on a scale to argue a fever isn't real. The mass didn't change. The thermal behavior of that mass did.

You actually concede the mechanism that refutes you. You acknowledge SAP was three to five times higher when pterosaurs flew. Correct -- and how do we know that? Largely from proxy records, including the very ice core data you're simultaneously trying to undermine. You can't invoke deep-time atmospheric variation as evidence that atmospheres change dramatically, and then turn around and cast doubt on the methodology that quantifies those changes.

Now, the ice core point. The fact that gas bubbles give way to clathrate structures -- where gas molecules are latticed into ice crystal matrices rather than existing as free bubbles -- does not corrupt the record. It complicates extraction, which is why ice core scientists use methods specifically designed to account for it. The molecules are still there, as you yourself admit. The isotopic ratios are still readable. The 800,000-year Dome C record, and the extended records approaching 2.7 million years, have been cross-validated against marine sediment cores, speleothems, and leaf stomata proxies -- none of which involve ice at all -- and they converge. If the ice were lying, the coral and the cave calcite didn't get the memo.

Your argument requires the data to be wrong, the methodology to be wrong, the cross-validation to be wrong, and every independent proxy to be wrong in precisely the same direction. At some point, that stops being skepticism and starts being a prior commitment to a conclusion, dressed up in the vocabulary of science.
